After such an uninteresting, unspectacular fight, no one will want to deal with him, although that's not to say he won't be remembered. Of course, it's a bit funny to recall how this fight was promoted—it was very strongly done, but in reality, it turned out to be completely weak. Perhaps he should have retired sooner, but when they need the money or run out, fighters are willing to fight again and again, even at 40 and 50, when you'd think they could simply enjoy life, albeit a little modestly.

We don't know if the UFC will honor the contract; Connor still has one fight, and it all depends on what both parties agree to, but it's not going to be easy to hype Connor's next fight.

I watched a video of Connor practicing that flying kick in a warm-up before the fight, but in the actual fight, the leap is just too high. When you hit nothing, the pressure will be on your leg when you land, and that's exactly what happened.

I just think that it's not a good idea to use a flying kick against an opponent like Holloway; he is quick and defense-oriented, and he can easily duck that. If they ever face each other again, I'm sure fans will be requesting that there be no more flying kicks.

Stayed up all night only to see him losing to Max in the first half round was disappointing.

I have not been watching this sports for too long but I can say that he is not coming back anytime soon. He has said he will be back while making his apologies on his twitter handle.

He will be so stupid to fight again. He better go back and take care of himself and most importantly his leg.

Conor throwing flying kicks or round house kicks is not something that is new. He has always been doing it, infact he even did it a couple of times during his training camp while preparing to face Holloway and nothing happened to him.

I just feel like he was unlucky in that fight and now he has a very long rehabilitation journey ahead of him. Tearing an ACL isn’t something you can just treat for few months and resume back to fighting, he’s gonna be gone for a long time and like i said earlier, even if he does come back, he can never fight the same again and he might even be risking getting injured again so there’s no point in him coming back to fight again, let him just retire.

It’s safe to say that he has become an injury prone fighter especially in the latter part of his career and so even though he’s still decides to fight again after recovering, there won’t be much hype around his fights anymore so i see no point in him coming back to fight again; he has nothing to prove.

Yea but there was also a video of him training and trying the same flying kicks etc..

I think both things are possible, he may have already been injured but couldnt pull of the fight due to the money involved OR he got injured again in the first minute of another ufc fight

It might be that his body is not able to recover and be as strong as it used to be. Last 2 fights, 2 injuries, both legs. All that due to intense training in the past, past injuries, damage, alcohol, drugs. The older he get, the less likely his body becomes better than was But, I think he will fight again, but not because he is stupid, but because of paycheck and contract. Only by selling tickets on this event UFC has earned ~26 millions. Add sponsors, commercial breaks, Paramount subscription. And this lame fight turned profitable for promotion.

This fight is even worse than the fight between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano. In general, all these idols of bygone years only disappoint. If they get paid such a lot of money, they probably should at least give people a show, and not just show up and that's it! He came out and got injured right away, yeah, how unlucky... accidentally...

Even the old Mike Tyson performed much better in the fight against Jake Paul. Mike honestly earned his money in front of the audience, giving us, if not a cool sight, then at least look at him in the ring again.

He gave people a show - screwed up so quick and went home. Saved people from watching him being beaten by Max whole fight. What can I say, these were the most easy money for Holloway (he has said he has received bigger in his career paycheck) and for McGregor (15 millions for 1min performance)

Lets wait for official comments on what has happened with him and his own explanation of his performance. P.S. At least whole event was excellent. Only last fight screwed everything. People should not complain for wasting money on tickets.

Yeah, it could be the combination of those factors, specially the damage with alcohol and drugs that in the beginning we haven't seen the effect. But as you gets older, it will finally bite on you and so that happens here.

For sure they will get a lot of money because it's Conor McGregor. But in the end fans are being robbed here. Others stay late because of timezone difference and bet a lot of money on Conor to win. But I guess there is no massive comeback, and no more fights for him and should hang up his gloves.
