Huh Where does it say it is open again? Looks closed to me.

When I go to http://communitycoin.info/apply/ there was a message that registration was already met the number required. Then today when I woke up I checked the page again hoping I could still get in. I have already completed all steps except the apply form last night.

The application form page seems to be open again. It looks like you might still have a chance.

This seems to become a very interesting coin worth to be supported.

Always remember that we all have to break the evil power of the central banks and their ugly slaves.

It´s not just an asset to trade with.

The Community devs have done a great job of vetting folks because this coin is not getting dumped. I am impressed. We are off to a great start guys. Voting now.

Just spent the last hour reading all about this --- totally missed it until today. Oops. Sounds like a great idea, hopefully there's still room for more people. Even if I can't get in the initial phase, hoping to be able to get in eventually so I can get involved.

CommunityCoin - COMM

thank you but 500 target come to very end so we no more accept new applications.

WTF ?
Kinda asking myself the same...

If the target mark is now 500 members instead of 1000, who is keeping the remaining 500.000.000 coins?

Nice "honest" community indeed...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=557589.0

I saw this, but what is confusing is if there are only to be 500 stake holders, why not just do 1 payment of 2 million instead of 2 of 1 million?

My assumption is that the plan is to then review the 500 holders and see if they are continuing to promote the coin. If they are, they are given the other half of their stake.  If not, that half will go to someone on the waiting list. Can someone confirm this (or tell me what it isn't the case)?

There is no waiting list. You just apply and wait until the dev has assessed your application. If you have been rejected you get the chance to appeal (via pm), and if you have been accepted you'll receive extra stake for the second round, assuming you keep to the Comm forum rules.

The initial plan was to distribute to 1000 people so the dev started to give out 1000000 to each qualified person, but because of the strict rules to join the community it has been reduced to 500 (community voted so).

The way each individual stake holder was vetted by the Dev and also the community in some respects and the sock-puppet taint checking that was a natural off-shoot of the application process makes this a truly unique coin/community in my mind.  I'm not saying that just because I got included, I don't think anything like this has been done in the Crypto world and the model offers several advantages over a short-term PoW like BC where multi-pools destroyed it for the individual miner or the haphazard sock-puppet ridden distribution of a Faircoin.

IMHO

How would the coin get dumped at this stage ?

The control and vetting is great. This is important for the early stages.

Let's be fair though he other two cryptos are actually helping COMM because they have a proven model and I carry both of these..now it's time to lap up some more cheap COMMS as well.. Grin..We must not fight in crypto but see how we compliment each other..I believe those also who own the other two will want to own COMMS so if we are nice to them we can get them to open their purses and join us too.. Grin Grin We want more friends in community coin let's build barriers not make war... Smiley Smiley Smiley Just my 2 comms..

If daddy black coin can marry mummy fair coin and create many baby comms the population of the planet will explode.. let's make it happen a boom boom.

Hey guys, I would love to join the ipo and contribute to the community... but when I tried to download the wallet from op page or main community website, google chrome blocks the download and says it is malicious file... is this normal and did other people get it too?

Sorry, I have been hacked before and just want to be more careful now.  Thx.

Try other browser, or if you r very paranoid, use win in Vmware for test Smiley

I downloaded with firefox and just completed all the steps at http://communitycoin.info/apply to apply Cheesy... hopefully it is not too late to join such a great coin... The distribution method is great(like faircoin which I missed) so really hoping I can be a part of this.

I will contribute
25k - multipool
5k - video
5k - android wallet
15k - for Devs to decide what to put in

Thx

I promise to be on my best behavior. Tongue

Just some initial thoughts, as things progress the hope is they evolve and become something better, I see that here.

I think Cryptsy is a necessary step.

I agree

I started the cryptsy freshdesk thread to get the ball rolling because it can take months to get listed on cryptsy. If we start posting on the thread now then we might be in a better position to get on cryptsy when COMM really takes off.

Please like and comment for COMM at cryptsy freshdesk.
