Yes, that is actually a thing. I don't think the coin will get better by simply handing out more COMMs to random people in advance.
What is left should be kept for bounties. I'm willing to donate large parts of the COMM I have for Bounties.

I pledged and delivered 10K Size chunks in the past and moved on to a 100K Bounty on the forum. I hope others join in and fund some of the projects over there. We obviously have some significant ideas for this coin in general hidden at the official forum.
Projects that will refine the coin on a technological level.
Offering significant bounties and incentives in that area will attract techy people. And those actually make the big difference in altcoins.
We have great community support, but we need more innovation and functionality. More Beef!

No. For my own opinion I don't think there should be any more applications. That stage is done.
It is a well estabished normal thing for coins to have bounties which are given for specific tasks.
If you are starting a special project, or building/coding something, that is the only reason to get anything now... and it will be for the community to assess the validity of a project.

The coin is well distributed now, and the weak holders will sell on exchanges to the stronger hands.

I don't want to think like this, but a small part of me feels like the guy (Adriano, I think it was?) that set up the multi-pool had his own agenda. Think about it. He was raking in boatloads of BTC, and he could have gotten greedy. Can anyone verify that they have received a payment from the mining? That's the deciding factor. I hope I'm wrong though.

BTW its awesome that we hit Cryptsy! People are definitely taking notice of COMM. Let's keep growing the COMMunity!

I don't think so. Andriano is honest guy, just PM him. I received a payment from multipool.
Btw, don't forget that Adriano made changes in source code to fix 200mlj issue and he had not received a bounty for this, I can say, huge involvement.
He has his own daily life, but as much as it is possible, he is responsive.
