About the DCA manager: I love the idea and I think I can work on it. But I'd like it if you go through the process with me. I'll share the complete idea with you first, then you can look it over and help improve it before anything gets built. Once the final product comes back from my developer, you can do a final check on it.
You've described the real version of DCA that most tools ignore, the buying, the small selling when life happens, the gaps. That's exactly the part worth getting right, and you understand it better than I do since you've lived it.
One thing I'd want your opinion on early: I'd rather it show your average cost and your actual buying pattern than a big profit/loss number. Something like "you bought more when price was falling" vs "when it was rising." Tell me if you think that's useful or if you'd rather just see the P&L.
Everything stored locally in the browser, no accounts, same as the rest of the site.

Well, I'm certainly not the most experienced here, nor do I DCA like how it needs to be done (the reason is obvious), or have the big bucks for it. The small amount I earn, I try to DCA it, but still, I spend it from time to time. So I can't really tell whether it can be considered as DCA or just a person saving his earnings and spending a little of it from time to time. You get what I mean, right? My point is we'll need more user on this, the more the feedbacks, the more we understands what users actually wants/needs.
I think both stats are valuable. It gives a complete overview/pattern of my DCA strategy/activity. Maybe include a graph too, time, price, amount etc!
