Confidence is a universal trait, if you are confident in any line of work you do, the results always speaks for itself and as a gambler I like to think it helps in decision making which as we all know is very important when it comes to gambling. I can remember my days of sporty bet and how I lost money because of indecisions. I think in gambling it is more of patience than even confidence because I was thinking exactly what it means to be excessively confident which should literally means over confident. But being over confidence in gambling does not really amount to anything if not even failure. I agree with you. Gambling is a game of luck and probability, no matter the strategy or experience you have you will definitely encounter losses. Some people use analysis, statistics or predictions to reduce risk, by at the end no one can guarantee winning because luck plays the biggest role in gambling. The major problem with some gamblers is that they find it difficult to accept this reality. I think you only need to be positive in gambling to win. I don’t think being confident is what will make you win at gambling; I don’t see any reason to be confident about something you don’t even know the outcome of.

Lol you make this sound like gambling is one big deal. The truth is that it’s really not a big deal. Although it depends on the person's reason for choosing to gamble and your understanding about gambling.
