It's either business, politics, or become a streamer. Funny, my kids are already telling me they want to be streamers. Where is that "I want to be a doctor," or "I want to be a pilot," kind of dream?

They are so exposed to streamers making money, and so I don't think they are thinking about working the day job.
As a parent, I may also have an effect on how they think right now. After the pandemic, most of the jobs became a "work from home" kind of style. They see me every day, and they may believe that they can earn money through the same means. Still, their Mom is working a day job, so I want to see how their perspective will change as they grow up.
I don't think the middle-class mindset is gone. It will depend on how a person can appreciate a simple lifestyle. We have different satisfaction levels, and some just like living it simply. Away from gossip, the media, and just living life with some perks of a good meal. Even with inflation, there's still always a way to make it work.
