I have approximately 10 users on my ignore list because they post irrelevant things to me or are simply trolls, but the list could be longer. I tolerate those others because they sometimes say coherent things, even if what they say isn't always polite... and a few others that I simply ignore and disregard their comments as if they didn't exist.

From my own perspective, I don't really put anyone on the ignore list. Because I think that even after spamming, their posts may be reasonable at some point. And maybe I can learn something from them at some point, since I am very interested in learning new things. But I don't care about spammers even if I read their posts. Anyway, thanks to the OP for setting up the voting in this thread. So far, I see that most users are limited to 1-10 people on the ignore list, but I used to think that the ignore list of older users was full.

I don't think it will be up to 10. I usually tend to ignore them without using the ignore button. This is a public space with different behavioral patterns so even while the ignore button is there to protect your peace (and eyes from crazy posts and characters) I feel they'd only get space to thrive when you give them attention.

I have exactly 888 users on my Ignore list. I didn't plan for this number.
In my first years here, I barely ever Ignored anyone, but since a few years I use it more and more. What changed, is that too many spammers don't get banned for their chatbot verbal diarrhea, and I don't want to keep reporting them if it's futile. So the next best thing is not seeing their posts.

I got just 9 users in my list and the bulk of them were probably added within the last year. I usually try as much as possible to not get affected by what users post and it's easy to gloss over some if I find it to be of no value.

My guess isusers who get targeted by trolls more tend to have to ignore more users, this will include spam and scam busters.

Mine is as big as the Zero. I never ignore anyone.  Smiley

Now that I think of it, I did have one user on my ignore list. But it was unintentional, at that time I didn't know what a ignore list was, so I might have pressed the button accidentally.

Other than that, I don't normally ignore anyone, but if I had to, I would simply skip their posts (scroll up down) after seeing their username. That's just it, and it also does happens automatically.

Mine is now at exact 84, but that's because in some of the years I've emptied it around Christmas, to offer a second chance to some.
However, sometimes I kinda feel it's not big enough and work on that  Grin
