Is begging a profession or compulsion?

I saw an Indian vlogger “ Dhruv Rathee” , the name might have spelling mistake. He said that there are begging gangs especially in underdeveloped nations who compel people for begging. They kidnap kids and women and make them disable by cutting their feet, hands or make them blind by putting chemicals in their eyes or throw acid on their face and then give them an area where they starts there duty from morning to evening. There are some night shift beggars as well in the areas which are open 24/7.  Recently I heard from an expert that 94 percent of beggars are professionals while the rest are compelled to ask for begging. What is your perspective about begging and what steps are required for the government in order to avoid such type of beggars?

When you see someone found in a condition of begging, we have to first consider the reason behind it, because some never wish to beg but circumstances may change and warrant for them to require an emergency help and they can only achieve things by trying to solve it for financial assistance, while on the other hand, some people are only just being lazy to work and do something worthwhile, do you have limited themselves not to be able to make it or deliver to the world than to solicit for help from those that already have enough, this is as a result of laziness and wrong mentality about life.

It is a shame, no one should do that on their own but if they are made into doing it then I just pity them and the government should take care of their people by removing the mafia kind of thing. I also read some stories that Beggars purchased a big real estte and they keep doing it while owning assets worth millions under their name.

Begging cannot be called a profession, it's more like a willing support out of compassion due to certain state or condition of a receiver, hence it's neither a compulsion.
In certain region of Nigeria, local immigrants of Niger republic popularly called "The Fulani's" usually liters themselves at bus stop in most cases mothers and even a child as small as 7 years old has being so cajoled in this process that they become ignorant of the embarrassing scenes they display all in the name of begging. These sets of people are so disruptive that they can literally drag your cloths to get you to spare some change (cash) for them. It's so much like there means of livelihood or survival as record by citizen of Nigeria from time immemorial, mind you these set of people are not disabled in anyway.

The truth is that, you just might not be able to know the exact reason why some people are begging. I have a lot of beggars where I live, I mean I see them whenever I go out, Some are crippled, some are very healthy children, some are very healthy women, carrying babies on their hands. But one thing about me is that, I love to help people, but that's only when I'm moved to do so. Sometimes I see some moves that these beggars use as emotional blackmail, and I hate emotional blackmail, so I don't help people with money when I know that begging is your profession, but when I know that you really need the help.

Begging is now a profession with its network already spread throughout many countries. Especially beggars are waiting for big religious events in a few countries like India and Pakistan.
They have unlimited sources due to their Addys, who have enough influence in politics and other ways. Kidnapping kids while using women and also using them for their narcotics business gives them good benefits. There were few laws and strategies, but all failed because there are many flaws in these laws and things that don't work.

A few days back, I was reading that a few beggars have millions of rupees in their bank accounts, and they also have enough properties that give them good income, but still they are begging because it works for them and also gives them money without doing anything.

First off, begging is not a profession, but it is a condition that makes people to beg others for help and i wonder why someone who is healthy and isn't deformed or with disability will chose to inflict pains on themselves just because they want people to show empathy and lend them a helping hand. Beggars are everywhere, but i only help those that are physically challenged since they might not be able to use some important part of their body to work and earn money for themselves. But for those who are healthy and lazy, no amount of begging will make me to pity them because they are mostly the entitled beggars who takes advantage of others kindness and form it as a habit to always beg in other to earn a living.
