It's funny how we carry this out begging culture reach every where. You want to beg your way to the top. Where on earth has someone done that. Abeg na, abeg na. Na wa ooh. I am pretty sure he knew that they don't beg for merit. But decided to do so. Otherwise, how did he know. Or he read on part and leave the rest. Funny thing is that people will still do this.
This statement "begging your way to the top" struck me and that is entirely true. There is no reward for laziness, people who put effort to earn merits are not jobless so why beg for what was earned through hardwork?

This is totally absurd and desperate and you can tell that he knows the rules but choose to ignore them, that is a deliberate violation of forum rules and should be addressed accordingly.

For him to know merits is to rank up, pretty sure he knows not to ask for it. I want him to be punished for it. Letting him go passes a message to other newbies that they can still do it and get away with it.

Why should a member prefer to send someone a message begging for merit, that is very bad. This is a forum, enjoy while posting and have some friends which can benefit you, than sending a message to someone that you have not known but telling him about giving you merit. It is also my advise for people like newbies to avoid begging for merit.

Do not beg for merit excessively.
why would someone prefer to beg for merit rather than earning it honestly. This is very ridiculously. Honestly no one has ever pm me to beg for merit before,if someone tries such a thing with me  I will expose the person. Some people are just being lazy, they don't want to put extra effort but want to earn quick merits. if it is a newbie account,I will understand that the person is new to the forum and might not be aware that it is prohibited to beg fo merit,I will  advise the person not to try it next time but if he tries again I will expose the person.

I feel that it could be ignorance and for the fact that not only one person sent that PM too, I feel that maybe they haven't come across the forum rules that says no merit begging. I hope they come across the thread and make amends so that they won't get caught in another person's PM over the same thing that could get them penalised.

Beginners need encouragement and I still remember how happy I was the first day I received a merit on that Valentine's day. I was so happy and kept staring at my account after spending 2 weeks of no merit. I felt like wow, so I finally made a good post for the first time. I believe that anyone that keeps trying will get there one day which I also hope to join the higher ranks someday. Patience is all I need and patience is what I ask other beginners to have too.

The mistakes of most beginners are that they want it very fast, which pushes them to fall into regrettable mistakes. It is important to understand that merit is a sign of growth and that it is impossible to grow overnight. Most times, growth is a gradual process that comes as a result of the much work you put in. There are threads where posts can be submitted and merit sources will review them to give merit.

I'm sure every beginner who is being introduced to this forum is aware that the forum is against merit begging, but some beginners choose to beg because they cannot hold their patience and put in the work to grow; instead, they choose to grow quickly without any effort.
