Essentially, all security practices still have potential risks. Whether it is offline, or online. Both of them have still have those risks, whether directly or indirectly. However, Bitcoin storage techniques are needed to improve security, and minimize the potential for unwanted risks. So, it is still important to maintain security measures, rather than simply leaving it unprotected, especially when implementing advanced security measures. Furthermore, I think maintaining privacy is also crucial to minimize these risks, and make our security more secure.

By the way, I want to know; isn't offline storage better than online?

As far as I know, online storage has more threats, but I would like to know your opinion on this. Maybe, someone has a different, and more reasonable view.

As far as I know, offline storage is also very good for the long term, although it also has drawbacks. Such as being more difficult to use, risk of physical loss. I think in the end it comes down to the purpose of the storage. All storage has risks. But if you have the funds, using both is very good, meaning separating the assets you have. The key is in management. Always anticipate possible problems that could occur.

Offline storage is good and recommended but it's not enough.

To be enough, it must be started with offline creation of your wallet, then you store your wallet backup offline, and best if you can store it in an air gapped device. Offline and air gapped devices are different, as with offline devices you don't remove hardware stuffs that can be used for connecting devices to Internet. With air gapped devices you already remove all those hardware things, and it's completely safe and offline after that.

...
I think it would be safe to say that most service providers and vendors already know about Bitcoin. They might not fully understand what a seed phrase is or how important it can be, but it is still not advised to engrave or tattoo it on your body. Even if you try to encrypt the seed phrase and make it long, which would already be painful enough, it is still a bad idea because anyone could eventually try to decrypt it if it is visible to others, especially if it is not on a private part haha.

Honestly, I did not think this way, like encryption is equal to more security and more security is equal to more pain, haha. What if the size is small, but the encryption words are lengthy enough and can be tattooed on that, haha. Well, now I think the thread is moving to another side, so let's forget about that.  Cheesy

Haha, I laughed when you cared more about the damage to the body part. You could be right though, because I do not know much about the side effects except what I have heard in some videos. But overall, we should simply avoid doing it, and yes, it is definitely a bad idea. You do not need confirmation from zainmalik75 haha.

No, you don't have me here. I wasn't meant to say that, actually, I was trying to say that if his girlfriend broke up with him and knew the seed phrase that he printed on his private part, she could steal all his assets, and in this sense, I was saying she could damage him by stealing his boyfriend's assets. Other than this, obviously I did not ask any confiramtion form zain about that. Why would I need confirmation from him, even though (BTC) has already cleared all things in previous comments, haha.

And in such a case, you are fully exposed because if your affairs do not take that long and you break up with your partner, then she can steal all the money you have in crypto form to damage you with the help of the private keys she has been seeing all that time while having fun with you. So, very bad idea. What do you say, Zain?
Haha, I laughed when you cared more about the damage to the body part. You could be right though, because I do not know much about the side effects except what I have heard in some videos. But overall, we should simply avoid doing it, and yes, it is definitely a bad idea. You do not need confirmation from zainmalik75 haha.
Our discussion is going off topic, but this discussion alone deserves a separate topic haha because it is honestly a funny thing to me. We all know as Muslims that tattoos are prohibited for us, but even aside from that, this should never be considered a good idea. Unlike western culture, we are not supposed to normalize things like having multiple girlfriends and all that stuff, although not everyone there does it and sadly some people here do it too, so it is subjective in both societies.

But being close to someone and then having your seed phrase written on your body is already a huge threat to the security of your funds. Even if we encrypt it like faisal2202 suggested, it is still not good advice.

Anyway, we should stick to the main topic here and focus more on proper security practices like using airgapped wallets, which the majority of people are not even using in the first place.

Investing in cryptocurrency without considering or making security your priority is like a total waste of time. So ensure that the security of your cryptocurrency or bitcoin investment remains your topmost concern.
As we discuss about security of our cryptocurrency asset, it is necessary to know that as more upgrade, and wallet invention are coming up, so are the online intruders or hackers are also improving in their crime, so that as an investor you should also deploy high level of security measures to ensure your cryptocurrency wallet, and asset are safe.
While we try to stop criminals from steeling our cryptocurrency asset, sometimes our asset can be lost do investors personal errors, investors have lost their cryptocurrency asset not to hackers, but because they personal cannot remember their key phrase or have exposed them to the wrong person, so while think we are safe because of the type of wallet we are using, we should also try as much as possible not to compromise with our wallet information.

It is important and advisible that we always check our security measures of our bitcoin asset for safety purposes and to be free from hackers that will cause serious harm to your investment .

Security is very important in any investment we make and should not be over looked.

One time I had to convince someone who legitimately thought getting a small tattoo of their private key on a...private...part of their body was a bad, bad, bad idea. I wish I was joking.

Airgapped devcice is as secure as you set it up to be. If you are doing proper OS hardening you're more likely safe even though there is always risk but the attack surface is lessened dramatically.

There is security risk of unknown exploit within your OS, recent supply chain attack has been all about penetrating libraries that people commonly used.

If there is a dormant threat within your OS that not even the maintainer realized, whenever your airgapped device got connected into external network the virus/malware might be trigerred.

What I learned that seem to be the best security is to sign transaction from within your airgapped device and broadcast it using your network connected PC and keep the private key secure in an offline airgapped device forever.

You can build your own QR code yourself if you're paranoid about using opensourced ones to transfer the detail about the signed tx.

Yes, security is serious. But having fun in life is even more serious if you understand what I mean  :

How is getting a tattoo on private part not a bad idea? The problem starts from the person who helped them to print the tattoo on their body lol, I heard that pro tattoo artists like keeping records of their work, if anyone did this they already break that offline security of keeping private keys and recovery seeds.

Having fun in life is something that people mostly do but this one idea is like turning yourself into a stupid person, this is not a way to have fun but a stupid way to pay heavily for having fun.
