Well for me I don’t think his regretting his actions because that action has given him popularity and he has made history through that and now people celebrate him for his actions so I don’t think his regretting his actions and lastly I believe he has a lot of bitcoin his still holding.

The bitcoin community will keep celebrating Laszio because he has made history with bitcoin and the world in general can’t forget his name.

He didn’t regret it according to himself as shared below and this is certainly him seeing the bitcoins as same value as those pizzas then, his intention was solely to use bitcoin for is intended purpose and that’s as peer to peer exchange. 3-4 years ago there were less than 100 people frequenting this forum, and I was pretty happy to trade 10,000 coins for pizza.  I mean people can say I'm stupid, but it was a great deal at the time.  I don't think anyone could have known it would take off like this.

Whenever we hear this story, what mostly crosses our mind is how can someone buy pizza for over 10k BTC, but we often forget that back then, bitcoin wasn’t worth much, in fact it was almost worthless. Plus, there are people who have traded more bitcoins for a few bucks, but what’s really there to regret? At least Laszlo’s name has gone down history, and many people are still talking about and celebrating him every year. If I were Laszlo, I’d be so proud of what I did.

This is pretty perfect example for everyone wanting to know whether he’s regretting it or not, Lazlo did something legendary..he proved bitcoin can be used for purchasing something as early as 2010, at that time I don’t think there’s any exchange for bitcoin before then…even Mt. Gox was launched in July that year.

I’ve seen lots of people asking this same question on every post I saw about this on X, the person in question actually said himself that he doesn’t regret so what’s with the same question..

He simply purchase something with a new technology worth just almost the same amount as the pizza at that tine and something really legendary is the seller….he isn’t that famous though but he also did something legendary..

I don't think that he's regretting anything because he has brought firm to himself with what he did in the past. Some people use their money to become popular and they're cool with it that way. So, I believe that Laszlo is happy wherever he is for making history for himself because there is no way you will talk about bitcoin without mentioning Laszlo.

Assuming, he didn't buy pizza with 10000btc, he should have spent those bitcoin long before now because it's clear that he really wanted to purchase something with bitcoin but only Papa John made that happened.

I think the name here is Laszlo with an ‘L’ and not Laszio with an ‘I’.

For some reasons we would want to consider just how much he would have lost from making just that one transaction in today’s market but, let’s say he didn’t do that then right…
What are the chances that he still would have had that much Bitcoin in today?
What are the chances that he wouldn’t have made smaller transactions that would be of no significance in Bitcoin history?

Something’s are meant to happen, not sure I would be regretting if I was Lazio, he made history and most of the time histories are only made by brave actions and he surely knows how much his action is worth.

Lazio in anyway is not even supposed to think or feel any thing close to regret right now. Imagine he comes out and tweet that he needs donation of bitcoin to a certain wallet! The number of bitcoin enthusiasts who will donate will probably be something very high at the end. So he has a very high chance of not regretting.

Well, let's just say he's regretting at the moment, then how would it'll be a help for him?  For sure, it will only lead him to stress and depression thinking of that past thing, so the best way is to move forward and just let that experience be a lesson for everyone.

However, based on his past interviews, he hasn't regret a single thing. In fact, he even spend nearly 100k btc on pizza related transactions on the same year after that first transaction. Those transactions have never caused him to regret, he even considered it as a historic success and proved that cryptocurrency particularly bitcoin can be a tool for real world commerce.

Getting it was easy? I doubt it. I mean, there were no centralized exchanges back then. At least, not in Bitcoin's early days. If you mean by mining it, then yes, it was a piece of cake. Not many people were aware about Bitcoin since it was in its infancy. Lazlo used BTC as it was originally meant to be used. As peer-to-peer electronic cash. He didn't care about the market price, but rather Bitcoin's function as a currency. I mean, who would've thought Bitcoin would become extremely-valuable in the future? This never went through the mind of early bitcoiners.

Lazlo made a choice, and he stood by it until the end. Even after Bitcoin became popular. You'd only regret spending Bitcoin as a currency if you're looking at it from an investment (store of value) standpoint. Most people are into BTC to make money, so it's very unlikely we'll see someone else doing the same thing as Lazlo in the future. At least, he made history.

Laszlo already posted that he did not regret about his decisions to spend bitcoins for purchasing pizzas in the past. At least it's what he said publicly and we knew about that, while what he actually felt, only he knew.

The best answer that I find was related the windows in the back... Its clearly enjoying his life, he has a family, knows bitcoin since early time.
He becomes a legend, he was already using bitcoin, and as we known, also the "change" could be enough.

I don't think Lazallo ever regretted what he did. He bought the pizza that day for the true value that Bitcoin was worth at the time, and no one could have known what Bitcoin would become one day. He became part of Bitcoin's history, and that's what matters most.

It seems that he no longer cares much about all this, and although he is still an active member of the forum, his last post on the forum was on February 14, 2014 and it seems from his words that he is not regretful and is convinced that he spent his share of Bitcoin at its value at that time.

Back then you just don't know if Bitcoin could be reaching this high of a valuation, everything is still so uncertain but he's using Bitcoin like what he is supposed to, as a currency.

Regret not so sure about this.. but one thing is for sure is that the man was marketing Bitcoin to the world and that's why even today we still recognise this significant occurrence. Btw, on this faithful day probably some other people trying to get pizza 🍕 on that day followed him for more information on this so called Bitcoin and now are enjoying their investments... Not everything can be put on record.. otherwise see no regret here.
