All of you agrees that you shouldn’t put all your money into just one altcoin. The risks don't outweigh the rewards. We still often see this with altcoins that have no future in the crypto market or even with altcoins that are useless. And won’t survive in the long run. I personally have experienced losses when I put a lot of money into a single altcoin. And the loss I incurred happened so quickly. I also made another mistake when I put all my money into fungible tokens on the Runes protocol. The mistake I made was because I was too greedy for the potential expected profits or even because I was lulled by uncertain hopes. I also lost money when betting on the altcoin KanadeCoin on the Ethereum network. I’d also like to know, have you ever lost money by investing in a single altcoin? And what was your biggest mistake?

People are free to take risk but one important thing to know if you want go into altcoins is never rely on it and to invest in the amount that you can afford to lose. Whatever you see in altcoins which may likely give the interest to invest in it, their is no guarantee of making profit from altcoins. Investing in altcoins anything can happen,  and if one should take risk to invest it must be sum of money that even if anything happens you dont need to panic because it is the amount that you can afford to lose.

Now its getting clear that Bitcoin must be our first choice of investment because alts don't have that much capacity. Only few top 5 or 10 alts listed on CMC can be considered for long term investment after Bitcoin. The newly launched alts are full of risk and must be avoided for large investment. Majority of new alts are scams or they are abandoned by their founders soon after the launch of the project. If you are investing in new alt then invest few bucks only that you can afford to lose.

Perhaps Altcoins seem very tempting place to make money from their potential price increases. And some people take advantage of their high volatility to trade with leverage. But Altcoins come with a lot of drama that can make you lose money very quickly. You could fall victim to a liquidity exit, where early investors sell off their altcoins causing the price to crash. Various dramas like pump and dump schemes frequently occur with altcoins. Perhaps a specific reason such as a hack might serve as a smooth excuse to deceive. And there have been so many reported incidents like that lately. One of which recently occurred with the altcoin $GUA (Source). So I personally believe that putting all your money into a single altcoin is a wrong decision that could cause you to lose all your money. Diversification might be a way to avoid that risk. But the risk of losing a lot of money can still happen. I think it’s better to put all your money into Bitcoin. Bitcoin has looked so stable lately, where even a 50% drop from its ATH is unlikely to happen. And now Bitcoin has moved far away from that price. What are your thoughts?
Is more risk to diversify with in the altcoins section and the risk of holding one coin is even enough, after you put in your major capital into Bitcoin, is very oknit to look closely into altcoins because majority of them will leave you in losses if you don't put a lot of efforts to sell the off at the top of their market, because it becomes hard for them to recover after their are dumped at some point in their market.

A lot of altcoins investors have learnt big lessons from holding these shitcoins and as much as the information is disseminating very fast a lot of newbies are still falling into the traps of these fake projects which are ruining the reputation of the crypto market. If the crypto market cannot be regulated then information must be disseminating fast enough because a lot of scam devs are making a lot of money off ignorant and greedy experienced investors.

If you want to hold only one cryptocurrency then look no further than Bitcoin, it is the one cryptocurrency that has proven it's potentials to always reach ATH and that is why even in this bear run investors are still buying and holding it. Most altcoins are scams and if you want to invest in them you should make sure that you know what you're going into that they are gambles. If you want to take your chances on any altcoins make sure that it is with amount that you are comfortable to loose.

You know title itself gave me Goosebumps when i see Puting all money into a single altcoin. Even when professional recommend to invest a person in Bitcoin they always say not to invest all the money. And you can imagine if someone invest all the money in Altcoin, it could vanish anytime some alts goes to complete zero. Everything could be risky fiat, Bitcoin, altcoin (highly) so diversify your money wisely when you invest.

Not only this, but you should never but all your eggs in one basket period.  Risks should be spread out in appreciating and potential growth assets, crypto included.  However, you will need to do this in proportions and ratios that you are comfortable with and can stomach.

You are very correct. Bitcoin is nearly the most reliable platform to invest your money into. If you are not investing in bitcoin, the other altcoins you can invest in are very small out of the millions of coins out there. Altcoin such as Ethereum, Solana and other few others you can rely on aside from bitcoin. Memecoins are even the worse to say you want to invest in. You may want to trade it which is cool if you can afford to take the risk whereas when it is investment, don't even think about altcoins as altcoins are very fluctuating and unpredictable.
