It's unhealthy practice to put all our money or investment on a single altcoin, we need to diversify our assets on cryptocurrency in order to increase our tendency of making more profit over them, this strategy also helps us to maximize our profit by way of reducing the risk.

Only a newbie that doesn't know what he is doing well make a decision of investing all is accept on a single altcoin, as it stand, we are to invest only on bitcoin before we could consider any altcoin as our alternative investments in cryptocurrency, this is the normal standard and as well we can choose to make the necessary research before doing so.
If I am being asked about this particular matter, I will let you from my perspective, the only single currency I can entrust with my funds and have all my money inside is Bitcoin. Anything outside Bitcoin, every other currency being it digital or physical is a no go area for me. The single reason why I will result to investing only on Bitcoin even is due to lack of enough funds which will enable me to diversify, but inasmuch as I have enough funds which will enable me to invest more money, I will also diversify my investments, after investing on Bitcoin. As for the newbies, it is always the best way for them to ask before delving into investing in any coin, people who ask hardly lose as much especially when you consult widely before making certain important decisions.

There is no need to complicate the scenario.  Generally, the Altcoin gets hype, people purchase it in a queue, then nothing actually happens and everyone sells, the Altcoin drops to the floor and gets de listed from Coin Market Cap to never be heard of again.  The main risk of purchasing a single Altcoin is just that.  Purchasing something that will constantly lose value at a speed faster than any Fiat Currency can.
Investing in altcoins and meme coins are very risky, since it is more like you are gambling than investing. Diversification is very good because it spread your risk across several asset, but in this crypto industry, it's very risky to diversify because apart from Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB their is no other coin to diversifying into because the rest of other crypto asset are all full of shit.

Those people that bought several crypto asset and be hoping to make a fortune from one or two of them are just gambling with their money, because they are doing things based on hope, which is the same characteristics of gambling., not of investment.

The only crypto to completely trust is Bitcoin, even the high rated coins like BNB, ETH, SOL, and others are not to be completely relied upon even though they have gain some reputation in the crypto industry, but diversifying on them is not a bad idea even though buying Bitcoin o would have been the best option.

Investing on so many altcoins with the hope of making big money from some of them is not working anymore, it was something that has been working before during bull run, but the crypto market is not predictable again at all, therefore, investing on so many altcoins thinking they will pump is the same as gambling because you never can tell.
However, if you have done your research and have conviction over the project, then you can invest in the project at your own risk.

There are many altcoins but not all of them useful. That is why if you want to invest the altcoin it is impossible to evaluate the potential of altcoin to understand how it will be useful in the future.
Now cryptocurrency market falls and it is necessary to remember that not all altcoins will be able to survive during the fall of the market.
Fall of the market is very difficult time for all altcoins.

Except for newbies who are coming into the crypto market without any experience are the ones that doesn't know that altcoins are very volatile therefore very risky to invest their money into, every experienced person in the market must know that many of the altcoins in the market today are scams and more are getting listed. Never invest in cryptocurrency with all your money even Bitcoin that has proven to be a store of value because nothing is 100% guaranteed in the future and if you should use amount that you can afford to lose to buy Bitcoin it means that you should even use smaller amounts to buy altcoins. Bitcoin has the potentials to reach ATH but you cannot say the same thing for many altcoins, if you must buy any altcoins make sure to do some research on it and most importantly never use significant amounts to buy memecoins except you want to gamble your funds.

This is what people used to say before based on their experiences from the market but what we have experienced recently from the market is that even if you bought the top 100 coins and diversify your capital in them, if out of all the numbers Bitcoin is there, then Bitcoin might be the only coin that will survive from there, the rest may not survive and it's highly possible that the coins you selected are not the one to survive, probably the ones from bottom will grow to the top.

There is nothing that is guaranteed with altcoins anymore, they are gamble and if you have the mind and think you can put your money on it, that's good but they are not worth investment. The Altcoin you are looking forward to invest might not be the one that will do well. This irregularities is the reason why they are unpredictable and if the worst happened on them, they will disappoint you even more by dumping until they remain irrelevant.

There are estimated to be more than 15,000 altcoins in the crypto market, most of which are dead or have no use. Just because of this, having an investment in this market is the riskiest. In my early days of life, I had a quote: Never put all your eggs in one basket. Currently, the altcoin market is at its lowest level, with no chance of having any pump in the near future. Few altcoins are doing well, but still, it's never been a good idea to put all your investment on one. But if I have to do this, I will go with only Bitcoin, no other one, because for me, it's never been a good deal.
You always need to do some good research before investing because things can change frequently. Staying on alert will always give good results. Never trust anyone's analysis or search before jumping; always use your own mind and do good work. This will always give you good results in life and investment as well.

Now cryptocurrency market falls and when market falls it mean that all cryptocurrencies falls too.
Also it is necessary to remember when market falls not all the altcoins will be able to suriveve.
That is why it is better to invest money in the most stable assets during the fall of the market.
Also it is necessary to remember that after the fall of the market will be a rise.
It is necessary just to wait some time till the rise.

The situation of each of us varies. There were lucky investors who invested singlehandedly to an altcoin and they made fortune of it.
Yes, but it is not advisable, it maybe has worked for one or two person but has failed many.
Although, there are still some persons that will say they got more lucky in altcoins than in bitcoin but bitcoin is of a more stronger foundation. It is far more better to invest in bitcoin because altcoins is even of more volatility and higher risk compared to bitcoin. So when investing, bitcoin should be of a larger investment than altcoins.

that diversification is important. Especially when dealing with altcoins. While there are thousands of projects available. Many may not be useful well developed or have long term potential. Often weak projects face the toughest times during a market downturn. While coins with solid fundamentals will have the best odds. That's why it's very risky to invest everything in one of these altcoins. Bitcoin is popular for people who are seeking comparatively fewer risks but in the end. There is no guarantee. As with all investments, I believe it is prudent to conduct research, have an understanding of the risks and never invest more than what you are willing to throw away. It's better to do some proper risk management than to simply follow the herd.

This irregularities is the reason why they are unpredictable and if the worst happened on them, they will disappoint you even more by dumping until they remain irrelevant.

Diversification is not a foolproof way to make sure that investing in altcoins is safe. The inclusion of many coins with the top rankings can also be dangerous as rankings get changed rapidly, projects become less relevant and new coins come and go. Weaker altcoins tend to lose more during a severe market drop compared to Bitcoin. Hence targeting them with all your money in a single Altcoin is extremely risky. If one desires exposure to altcoins, a small amount across the various projects and a larger stake in the proven ones might make more sense. Just because a coin is in the top 10 now doesn't mean it will be in the top 10 in the next cycle and risk management is more important than potential returns.

Altcoins hardly survive any fall in the market that's why it is good not to invest so much in most it them when they are rising because they may end up dumping if they market falls but if you are lucky to invest in some thdt will rise back after the fall your money will not be lost and you will have to chance to profit from what you have left.Do not invest all you have in everything you have got in altcoin but if you have different portfolios of investments, having different asset in different coins will save you from losing everything ones.

Yes, altcoins has been suffering from this bear market condition for long, some of them are still struggling to recover and when the market go down again, they suffer more; only bitcoin now have guarantee because it is the most reliable crypto to think of, investing in any other coin is riskier than that if bitcoin because bitcoin in price determine the market movement, and when it moved upward, then altcoins followed, likewise when it go bearish, altcoin prices falls too.
Therefore, to be safe in the crypto market space in this market situation, buy bitcoin for now and leave altcoins.

Diversification in portfolio should be based on bitcoin as against a single or highest two altcoins; the situation will become worse if the investor decides to diversify between an altcoin portfolio excluding Bitcoin, that is where it will become a full gambling scenario and the reasons most investors don't get the best out of it, bitcoin should be at the centre of our investment decisions and the primary assets before other coins can be considered as alternative.

Altcoins have the issue of low adoption (regardless of how high their MC is). Speculators move money easily. They go down from ATH, and almost always never recover.

I learnt the lesson the hard way, and I only put 90% of crypto-money into Bitcoin, and about 5% into ETH.

Perhaps Altcoins seem very tempting place to make money from their potential price increases. And some people take advantage of their high volatility to trade with leverage. But Altcoins come with a lot of drama that can make you lose money very quickly. You could fall victim to a liquidity exit, where early investors sell off their altcoins causing the price to crash. Various dramas like pump and dump schemes frequently occur with altcoins. Perhaps a specific reason such as a hack might serve as a smooth excuse to deceive. And there have been so many reported incidents like that lately. One of which recently occurred with the altcoin $GUA (Source). So I personally believe that putting all your money into a single altcoin is a wrong decision that could cause you to lose all your money. Diversification might be a way to avoid that risk. But the risk of losing a lot of money can still happen. I think it’s better to put all your money into Bitcoin. Bitcoin has looked so stable lately, where even a 50% drop from its ATH is unlikely to happen. And now Bitcoin has moved far away from that price. What are your thoughts?
I don't think their is any point in taking a huge gamble on alt and meme when Bitcoin is available, because Bitcoin is the only reliable asset to invest in.

I know that some people are just too greedy or impatient to reason or think right, but being impatient or too greedy will not always ends well because their are higher chances of losing all your hard earned money. Alt and meme falls more than they rise, but some people will still take a big risk on them, because they believe that their life can change through or because they just want to make money quick, but that is not an investment, but rather it's more of gambling than investment.

Investors should learn to invest with what they can afford to lose, so that even though the worst happens, they will still be alright financially.
