The amount of mistakes I made in this round is uncountable. It's like a perfect storm - just keeps coming.

I depend massively on the USA team not conceding 2 or more goals - and I think Belgium will be really fired up after everything that happened.
Hoping for a boring 1-0 Belgium win but honestly expecting the worst..

Uf, a tough round for you, cryptofrka. I had two players from the USA but I will somehow squeeze them onto the bench and put in a duo from Argentina. It sounds right at the moment, but maybe Egypt surprises us all. Thanks to the qualification bonus, it will be a decent round.

It is much, much worse than that.
I had Kane and Bellingham, traded them both for Olise and Dembele.

Guimaraes missed a pen - not many people have him - so it's a horror round from the first game until the last.
There are some doubts with Molina as well - there's a world in which I end up with 4 defenders that accumulated a total of -1 points together (O'Reilly, Dest, Freeman, Molina) in a round in which I used a defensive shield.
That being said, I did not want to use it - another mistake I made in this round.

It's quite insane I'm still in a decent position.

Well im in a good position right now, for the round not for the overall competition since i need to cut much more points to have a chance of anything after a few bad rounds.

But i miss the chance of having Bellingham as captain, i could never image that super game from him after being not so good in the previous matches, now i swap Mbappe captain for Messi as captain and at least i get two more points, not so much but is something.

Now i need Colombian players to give me something for me.

It's hard for me to win this now - im still confused how I forgot to captain Messi, I didn't settled for 9 points on Mbappe, there was no way I was going to settle for a 7 points Cucurella. There's always one stupid mistake from me everytime I'm close to the finishing line in fantasy. Overall it was a shit round.

It's not over yet but sooner it'll be hard to catch up with too many identical teams..

It's just been from one bad decision to another for me in the world cup fantasy, I didn't think the round would turn out to be this bad, and even the cleansheet shield couldn't even save anybody, it's definitely the worse round to have deployed it, I might have been better off using it in the round of 16 and using the qualifying bonus for the next round, or hold on to it for the coming round, at least.

I guess Argentina turning the tie around saved everybody from a little bit of headache because, we most all have at least 3-4 Argentines, and with a few injuries and eliminiation, it sure would have been tricky to navigate.

5 players out of the World Cup, and 96 points in MD5. Don't know whether to be happy or sad... It will be nice to start with -4 points next round, and to make matters worse, both of my keepers are out so I'm very, very thin in that department .

Its difficult when you start to lose players due to them being eliminated of the competition, i think i ended up being the second in this round just behind paco who made a magnificent round with more than 90 points, congratulations to him. Now comes the hard part of reshaping the whole team but also you can start to have a lot of players form the same national team which makes room.

You don't necessarily need a two goalie in this round unless you still have your cleansheet shield chip available to use. Use the FT to prioritize other positions and don't take a hit unless you're bringing in an attacking who can repay that..

I'm yet to make a single move this round - I'm thinking too much and that's a bad approach so I'm going to leave everything towards the deadline.

This is where it definitely gets tricky but rather than losing points now for substitutions I will rather say one should abandon that player on the bench most especially if it’s a goalkeeper because to me there is no need for two at the moment.

The number of players from a single team allowable in this round is 5 although tricky if they get all eliminated after this round but your next free transfer before the semi final is actually same 5 although this will seem to help but that’s subjected to if the other players actually do not have their team eliminated after this round. From this round it’s actually about prioritizing the best team which you think can get to the finals and having more of their players and also looking  at one or two players that can bring in points even if there team will be eliminated later so the Changes will be within the free transfer threshold.

How do you even know any attacking asset that would necessarily repay the -3 points hit, imagine bringing a player in only for them to not only blank but get eliminated in this round as well, at least you'd be able to live with the blanking in this round provided their team advance, they'd have saved you a transfer for the next round where you still hope for a positive return from them.

I have actually used almost all my transfers with just one left, and that's to decide if either of Saibari or Manzambi would be fit enough for the round, I learnt Saibari is ruled out already, just too bad there aren't too many options with that prize bracket for me, so a hit could be inevitable.

You can't tell for sure but stats helps; worst case scenario you'll be getting back your +3 from chances created and shot on targets if they fail to be on the score sheet- still better than taking it on a goalie.

Manzambi is likely out of the tournament unless his team miraculously make it to the final - take him out and I'd advise you keep Saibari if taking him out would cost you an extra -3 hits ( he'd be available for next game if they survive this one)

Same for me, I also had to keep two players on my bench who aren't playing in this round, but I decided to hold onto Halhal from Morocco because at just 3.5m, he frees up cash to upgrade the rest of my team, It's a calculated sacrifice I chose to make. I've also decided to put all my faith in Dibu in goal. My plan is to just survive this round and then I'll completely rebalance the squad so I have 15 players sure to be fielded. Add to that I had to take a couple of hits for a minus 6 point, having three Brazilian players, two Colombians and three Moroccans meant my squad was in disaster mode after the last round. It was painful taking those point deductions but luckily I'm sitting ahead and can afford to absorb the hits, though it could definitely come back to bite me if things don't go my way this round.

I took a -3 points hit to get Manzambi out after he was confirmed to be a major doubt for the match against Argentina, I brought in Baena who have been Spain preferred option on the left flank, I couldn’t do Yamal without sacrificing Kane to bring Oyarzabal and I would still have been short of one active player, so I decided to get alternative route yet again.

Also took a hit, so far turned out to be the right call. The problem is that people around me have Doue or 2x French defense.

I like my team going forward so hopefully I catch up a bit. I was top of the league before the tragic R16.

Igebotz, thanks for the tip. I picked only one keeper, and he made a fair amount of points yesterday, so I'm happy with it. Also, yes, I played my shield chip. You have 22 points more than me; even if everything goes right, it will still be difficult to catch you.

Wait I thought the team in 1st place copied 98% of my team?! Great minds just happen to think alike... or maybe my scouts are doing a good job keeping an eye on you! 😉

At this stage of the tournament until the end, most of us are going to end up with about 80% of the same template teams, the remaining two or three players who act as differentials are what will decide our final rankings. In this round we still have some differentials in play, you have Romero and Berge running for you vs Martínez and Bellingham on my side, we also already had the differential play out between Olise and Doue. So if you ask me there is still a massive amount left to play for in this round and a lead can still be built by either side.

We also have to watch our backs, there are a few managers right behind us who are going to catch up fast, especially the ones playing their defensive shield chip this round, while we both burned ours last round with absolutely no benefits whatsoever.

I just checked and it works pretty fine for me, both on mobile and PC.. It might be from your internet provider blocking access to the website, perhaps you should try using VPN to confirm if that's the case...
