Anyone using ChatGPT for betting analysis?

This is nothing but the truth, when someone makes gambling very complicated for themselves, the sense of fun is lost and it become very depressing to the gambler when they are now left with the thought to contemplate if their gambling desire is going to be fulfilled or not. In all of these new inventions too, one can still decide to play in a responsible manner so that they don't get to deceive their self that they can become successful using chatGPT.

AI is undoubtedly a tremendous tool for crunching data and bringing together a bunch of statistics into a single table. But if you stop using your brain and just blindly pour your pocket money on its predictions then you have a hard on. The trick that I use the most for making my betslip is to first let AI do my research at rocket speed and then use my real field intelligence and experience on that data to place the main bet

All in all ChatGPT or other LLMs can be a great copilot or side kick in our hands for betting research. But in no way can it be given a license to sit on your own brain. You always have to stand strongly in the director's seat.

AI is not 100% reliable, there are usually some inaccuracies some times. That is why when AI generates your data, you double check for errors and inaccuracies. Op already stated that you do not use the data AI generated blindly, that is where some sports bettors are getting it wrong. AI tools can be used to get specific data which you will use to form your decision, but asking AI to make predictions for you doesn't usually end well.

Even human beings prediction is inaccurate some times, so what human beings can not do I don't think if AI can possibly do it I mean in this aspect of gambling, and you're right when you said AI tools can be used to get specific data for example; AI can help you check if there's any injury player in the team and how form a team is and also help in checking history of a team I mean their h2h. These are the informations we can possibly get from AI not predicting the outcome, I think AI easily get past informations and not the one that is about to happen even though sometimes they try to make attempt that is why their prediction doesn't work accurately.

I mentioned in the previous discussion as well, it is useful to analyse the data and what the latest news is about anything and what most people as well as the experts, are saying about the possible outcomes and it all depends on what promt we use.

But I am more of straight and simple, will look for the best possible outcome along with the risk factor and it just gives me which is more likely and which one is risky but worth and depends on my preference I will go with it.

That was actually my expectation when I started this thread.

I wasn't expecting everyone to agree with AI, but I thought more people would share their own workflows, prompts, tools or even examples of how they use it in sports betting.

Instead, a lot of replies ended up being "I agree" or "I don't agree"

I have no prompt to share because I rarely use AI for checking the news and help me with my analysis. I still find it fun to do it on my own but I can't deny that using AI is helpful for searching the results quicker.

For me, the interesting part isn't whether AI can magically predict winners. We already know it can't. The interesting part is how different people use it for research, filtering information, finding angles or even spotting potential value bets.

I think there is a much more interesting discussion to be had here than simply arguing whether AI is good or bad.

It's about how you gather info and how quick it is in consolidating all of those that we need when we do research.

I am not against it and as long as it's helpful to a sport bettor, why not happily share how it's helping them with their bets?

I've always said that AI is just a tool to help us in any job, but we can't be governed by everything it says because it doesn't make sense. We must have our own judgment, whether for betting or any other activity. We human beings still have reasoning, which is still superior to any AI programming. That's what makes us human, so we must be firm on the subject.

ChatGpt or AI has a positive side, namely that we can obtain information about things we want to know, such as sports statistics, which can be useful for people who like to bet on sports. However, I don't think everyone who likes to bet takes advantage of this, perhaps some still bet by relying on statistical information from outside AI or ChatGpt.

Using AI or ChatGpt to explore or find information is actually quite effective, because in sports betting, we can increase our chances of winning with our knowledge.

Although, that's right but that doesn't mean its result or responso its guaranteed, as they can predict but not for future reference, which is why, people are to verify the information very well before passing out any judgement, because if they don't plan and put things in order, they might excute their plans wrongs and it won't help or benefit them, rather it will make them a shadow of themselves, as they will find themselves in a cycle of chasing after their losses.

I'm not talking about how ChatGPT predicts the bets I'm going to make, but I'm just talking about how the AI provides valid data references from the latest data so that I can deduce which team I'm going to pick myself.
Ai just helps me process information to be more complete, more time efficient and to know what's going on lately.
The decision whether I want to pick team A or team B is a personal decision I make with my own instincts as per the data, so it doesn't rely entirely on AI in determining my bets.

It’s not good ideas for someone to use the chatGBT on a betting analysis because they will only give information that you will help you get the right idea on your betting analysis, but not the real predictions. Because some think that any predictions that ChatGBT give out it will work for them and win the betting, which is not work in that’s way you have to think on your own and select the game wisely to get the best possible outcome.

Because the betting is matter of luck when it comes to betting none is perfect and that’s why even those that has been a while in betting are still losing a big amounts of money, if to that it’s about master they couldn’t lose any of their betting.

I have around 15 years experience in sports betting.
I feel there is not much discussion here about using AI tools and our own prompts for betting analysis.

For me personally AI was actually more useful than I expected, specially for NBA and tennis.
Not saying it can magically predict games, but it helps a lot with checking player form, injuries, playstyles, motivation spots and sometimes finding value bets faster.

I mostly use ChatGPT. Usually I ask it to collect stats for specific matches together with injuries, recent form and possible value on odds. OC I don't follow everything blindly, but as assistant for research and analysis I think it is pretty good.

AI as a tool and a collaborator. This is what and how most people should see AI and use AI rather than looking at it as the ultimate brain and assigning critical decisions making processes to it.

That's not bad to use ai or chatgpt on analysis. You're not going to use all what it shows you.
You'll only get what's worth it and throw what's not. It will show you resources and news that can help you with your thorough analysis.
Predictions are done by us and before we do that, we have basis why we end up with that prediction.
And through that basis, we're free to use AI tools or specifically chatgpt for that. It won't guarantee you win but at least you try your best in getting all possible resources to help you gather information.

And have you been successful finding value bets with some generic chatbot?

Because from my experience that data lags a lot when it copies to "value bets" from some free sites. They no longer have value when i click them, if they ever did.
And sometimes that chatbot pretty much invents value in games where there's none.

Also you are still risking a lot with value bets, as they are often overvalued for being highly unlikely events even if they are 50% proportionally overvalued, it's still a same small change to even hit it.

That's a fair criticism if someone is just asking a generic chatbot for picks and betting them blindly.

Personally, I shared the exact prompt I use in this thread. It helps me save time and organize information, which is really what I want from it.

Also, I think some people in this discussion are using the term "value bet" very loosely.
A value bet doesn't mean a likely winner.
It simply means the implied probability from the odds is lower than what you believe the true probability to be.

A bet can be a value bet and still lose. In fact, many of them do.

For me, the goal isn't to find guaranteed winners. It's to better understand whether the market may be overreacting or underreacting to certain information and whether the odds reflect that correctly.

That's where I find AI useful.

I don't know if it is just using it more or that the compute is less to keep up with growing usage, but AI seems to have gotten worse over the last 6 months, not better.  I can basically make any AI agree with my on any ridiculous subject with enough discussion.  It is no wonder companies are cutting off usage of it left and right currently.  I feel sorry for those who are led astray by the advice of a gullible AI.  In other words, make sure you know it's limitations when using it.  I wouldn't give it decision making power over any of my money.

No prediction tool is one hundred percent reliable, including humans. What gamblers need to focus on is any strategy or method that gives them higher winning rates. If using AI-assisted predictions helps them win consistently, then they should stick to it. If, on the contrary, their human brains do the magic, then they should forget about prediction tools and make their predictions themselves. What is important is that they stick to what works for them. However, for me, I still do not think that AI alone can guarantee consistent wins, a mix of both is perfect.
