I don’t know what your experience has been, but I’ve tried using ChatGPT several times for predictions on upcoming matches. It makes so many mistakes that I find it easier to analyze the matches myself, and that way I feel much more confident in my bets. ChatGPT also makes a lot of mistakes in many other areas, not just sports betting, so I definitely can’t rely on it, at least not at this stage of its development.

What some gambler does is that when they see prediction posted by a gambler, instead of blindly trusting that game, they gave it to AI to give them the closest selection and slip them into three or two depending on how long the games are and then bet, some days they win and most often they don't win, this is why AI is not something you must depend on, they are not accurate in answer and if you must use them, they are better as opinion not answer.

As someone who uses chatgpt to keep track of things, and use for my health and medical record, so it has all the data, I can tell you that this is the worst idea ever. This AI just makes up stuff when you ask and it doesn't have it, and it still happens today. It is much lesser, it used to be a lot more, nowadays it's far less, but the reality is that it still does.

You give it 10 data points for example, and then ask 11 questions regards to 11 data points, and 10 of them it replies with what you gave, and on the 11th that you did not give, it just makes up stuff. No reason to trust this as an analysis thing, because it really does not work and you should avoid that as much as you possibly could, it will not be helpful.

I believe so many gamblers get this wrong because they take Chatgpt the wrong way while gambling. Chatgpt can only provide informations based on history, it can't provide information about the future, it can also predict. Obviously, we all understand what the meaning of prediction means, so depending on Chatgpt predictions doesn't guarantee a winning in gamble. If it's about research, then there's no problem using Chatgpt for it because it can provide solid information.

That is why there are lot of other LLM-Language Learning Machines to try out although the end result will most likely to be a failure again. I find it strange in fact that scammers are not into it yet with "our group knows the best prompts" to feed to AI to make your bets like 94% wins as a lot of these guys are spamming me in Telegram, so only a matter of time until they come up with all sort of cheating and I am putting a warning here, for the newbies to not fall for such scams.

Coming back to thread here no matter what AI one uses it will not make it a better bettor unless luck happens to be on what AI choose for us.

Lol are you sure scammers are not already on it? Although I’ve not seen such schemes around yet, but I believe people are already using it, maybe it’s not just rampant yet. Even though chatGPT has proven useful in other life analysis like project work and quick searches i won’t still recommend it for gambling analysis, gambling is completely unpredictable and doesn’t follow a particular sequence or trend, unlike other areas like education and normal life statistics that is usually garbage in and out gambling often times doesn’t follow any pattern. Chatgpt is just to see the quick information as you mentioned, then you analyze yourself about the bet you are going to make, maybe you can conclude after you see a lot of data that chatgpt displays.

Well, it is accurate on the information that it provides, but when it comes to the prediction on which team or player will win, that's when it could go wrong. Sometimes, the instincts of a human is more correct than an AI technology.
Still, we could use this technology to lessen the time of obtaining information from the internet. Just like me, I have 3 websites that are bookmarked for injuries, stats, history, and records. That means more time reading and looking while the AI may take less than a minute to provide that all.

You're right, they are very lazy and not capable of making predictions themselves; however, I used ChatGPT a few times just for testing purposes, but I lost most of the bets by following ChatGPT's prediction, so I think ChatGPT never predicts accurately. It’s always predicts based on team ranking I think. Yeah, sports betting is also somewhat dependent on luck. There should not be an expectation of accurate prediction from ChatGPT. ChatGPT is an information-based tool, I think, it can't provide accurate predictions. Still, some AI-based prediction sites have been developed in the market, if I am not mistaken.

I think this question is very similar to why bettors look for prediction groups or follow tipster channels that provide betting picks. In my opinion, some bettors either lack confidence in their own judgment or consider themselves poor analysts and believe that someone else can make better betting decisions than they can. As a result, they tend to trust other people's opinions more than their own analysis.

I have around 15 years experience in sports betting.
I feel there is not much discussion here about using AI tools and our own prompts for betting analysis.
For me personally AI was actually more useful than I expected, specially for NBA and tennis.
Not saying it can magically predict games, but it helps a lot with checking player form, injuries, playstyles, motivation spots and sometimes finding value bets faster.

I don't really need to use AI for gambling. I gamble through my own analysis and research. I don't look for any way to make money from gambling. I gamble just for fun in my free time. But when I do my own analysis and research on matches, I really enjoy doing research and analysis and that's where I enjoy the most. When I stop analyzing myself and rely on AI, I won't be able to focus on gambling and I won't be able to enjoy it. No matter how good the AI analyzes, it is not acceptable to me at all and will not be acceptable in the future.

For sports betting, I do not usually consider ChatGPT to study stats because I always prefer simple bets rather than conplicated bets, and ChatGPT would only give me too many options and make me more confused on what option to pick.

In the betting site, there is provision made available for stats and that is what I use most of the time. Most times, over-analysis could just blind you to see the most promising options available and that is something I learnt the hard way. Maybe using ChatGPT has worked for some people and it's totally their preference, but it has not always being the best for me.

I’ve noticed that GPT can sometimes give advice that sounds so questionable that even without expert knowledge it is obvious that some of it is nonsense. At the same time, it can also produce very useful advice, good analysis, and genuinely smart ideas.The problem is that it is not always easy to tell when it is giving you something accurate and helpful versus when it is generating nonsense. That is why it is still better to think with your own head and not rely blindly on ChatGPT.
