Crypto is a vague term with alot of misleading coin that made it up except bitcoin so using crypto is same thing as including bitcoin and of which we that bitcoin isn't yet doing bad and it can never drop drastically to zero. Bitcoin is the right asset to invest on in the crypto community, it has been tested and trusted and has also been in existence for years now still doing better, though the price of bitcoin has been dropping in the past months which i believe it will also rise because it's a volatile asset so people should invest only in bitcoin with what they afford to loss and make it a long time investment.
There are lot of cryptocurrencies in the market, someone might not know the particular one you mean, they probably will think that all cryptocurrency is reliable to invest without knowing that it is not all of them that are reliable to invest. Incase of next time it is necessary to give a accurate information of the crytocurrency that you wanted them to invest in so that they will not mistakes bitcoin for a shitcoin.
If it is bitcoin that you mean then it is necessary that you use the right word so that someone will understand that it is bitcoin that you mean. For me, bitcoin is more reliable to invest in compared to other crypto concurrencies. so It wont be a bad idea if you invest in bitcoin for the long-term.
