There are people who don't understand that mistakes can happen and players can loss form because they're not robots or emotionless beings. Yeah, I can still remember this very story, and it was really sad.
Well, I believe that this violence that we're talking about often doesn't relate to sport betting. One thing a lot of people actually don't understand about sport, especially football in particular, is that it is purely built on emotions and passion. Aside gambling, football brings laughter, it brings joy, it gives certain individuals pride, and it also brings pain, tears and anger, which certain individuals now prefer to express through social media attacks. And that's why some people often see football as something beyond sport.

Well, the world cup is here, but I can bet that whatever supposed violence that you observe, is likely going to be as a result of what actually happened in the game, and not as a result of someone losing a bet somewhere. I honestly don't support it, but I wish other people can understand the same, because everyone tend to handle certain things differently.

It usually does not reach the level of murder. I think, these days is more of racism that we see as sport violence on the field by the players themselves. Imagine, how people value gambling than human life which led to the death of Escoba. Down here in my country, if you score an own goal mistakenly, you'll be called Escoba.

Honestly when it comes to sports emotions and competition is always a part of it, but the way people do react to losses and wins that's what really matters most because you see sometimes fans do take football personal, forgetting that the players are humans too and they're also not immune to mistakes. So no matter how painful the outcome might be , no game is worth violence, hostile or loss of life, because sports is supposed to bring unity and entertainment and not create violence or hostility among people.

People should understand that players are just human which could make a mistake. That makes us upset but no need to say bad words or bullying or even killing the players because they are trying to gives their best. If this is a drama I can imagine a conspiracy brewing in the background that suggest those people are actors implanted by another state to trigger a crisis or whatever.

Jokes aside, I haven't seen an article describing violence caused by betting in recent years. Maybe because it's not common here. I found more crime news talking about passion-fueled killing, robbery, abuse of power and whatnot. Most if not all of them have zero relations to gambling.

If people lack self-control I think they can use any reason to commit crime tbh. Whether it's gambling or not, failure to manage emotion properly can lead to violence or just spouting nonsense in social media in this age.
