Who says spending more on a asic miner is a waste of money? This is why I don't feel at ease when I am seeing solo miners going 70oc and more I like keeping them on 60°C for longevity and some miners are cheap only because of bad heatsinks on them, any silver heat sink I go gold/copper heatsinks, I don't mind at all, bad fan? I'm changing it instantly, nothing sucks more than buying a miner and planning to mine for years only for them to die very young, it happened to me twice in the past but after buying extra parts things and turned out differently.
Mine has run nonstop at 800gh since last October.
If you are running 800 gh or 1 th it takes over 300 years to hit a block.
SO I RATHER RUN AT 800GH and not buy a replacement unit.
@ nexus you should pick up a hammer bc01 and compare it to your bitaxe 1çHip miners.
I am testing the hammer bc01 and the hammer bc04
Both are nice and it seems that the bc01 is better built than the bitaxes.
The bc04 with the eth connect is a nice 4 chip wonder.
Edit bc04 has 4chips.
