How clean are the big leagues really?

The big leagues makes a lot of money from sponsors too, so why do you think they would need to fix every game? They might, which is again sounding like a conspiracy theory and I have my doubts if any of it is fully correct at all.

But gamblers will always feel like they are being cheated by the games/clubs/bookies and whoever else the game is associated with because they are the ones losing money and the games outcomes which they felt would come out to be true.

So I think the games are mostly clean, but gamblers have unclear heads which is nothing out of the blue.

It’s not that the major leagues are necessarily corrupt or open to manipulation, but we must consider the human aspect of the matter, namely that players are human beings and, as such, are capable of making mistakes. Indeed, there are many cases in which players sell matches or compromise their performance, causing their team to lose, or commit a foul, or pick up a yellow or red card.

But till now I have not gotten the understanding that how those leagues can be manipulated and if such thing happened, there will be a serious sanctions for the people that did it so I believe everyone in the league must maintain. But how can a player sell match? Because as for me those match can't be manipulated. Is it that after selling, they will perform below standard? Sorry for asking all these because really I don't really getting the logic here.

One thing we should know is that every corrupt head has their cronies and lackies in the system, whom they have already planted to enable them to facilitate their evil crimes in the organisation or whatever structure they find themselves in. They do this so that there would be not much opposition in the system for them. This is how corruption has become so sophisticated that they make sure they plant their henchmen in the system before they assume office or while in power. So football is not exempted as it is so everywhere. This is is the reason why it is difficult to fight corruption.

Indeed, since that as long as there are people behind who's willing to accept bribe money, corruption will continue. Same with what you just said, those who wants to be in control, they will make sure that they will use their money to pinpoint those who are willing to accept and participate to their business, and that's not except anyone or any game, which is possible to happen even in a big league manipulation may happen.

This act is very visible in the prediction market and we have seen how some of them have been exposed to the public their unholy act on the system. As they take advantage of their positions to play their dirty games in cheating on the system and the committee at large which is against the standing policy of the platform which most of them are aware of but for the fact that they have back ups in the system whom they work under, they have nothing to worry about because they all are in the business together. I believe with time they will be exposed one after the other side and the prediction market would be free of people of such nature.

From my understanding, small leagues can be manipulated and that's why casino avoid leagues that are not recognized but it doesn't mean that big leagues can be free from manipulation too, it's just that such big leagues can't be manipulated easily. There are eyes on players when they make mistakes that looks intentional and once they see that you have done something that warrant investigation, the player suspected will be investigated.

I don't think a season that is plays for 6 months will go one day in all of the 38 weeks without any form of manipulation. If the player doesn't do it directly, they might do it for somebody that is not close to them. After all, it's not like all the players have the same capability to play in every competition, there are teams that doesn't reach the top of the league neither the bottom, if a player from any of those teams get a yellow card, nobody will suspect the player.

If corruption has reached higher levels, then the minor leagues will be much more easily manipulated, but there is corruption in the major leagues too, and that's something you can see in any of the games. In fact, I dare say there is corruption and manipulation in all sports, whether by judges, umpires, or players and teams, but it doesn't come to light. When it does, they'll get what's coming to them.

There can be little to no manipulation in the big leagues.

Not because they're too big to rig but they're too big to waste what they have built.

A bit of manipulation or selling of games for some specific athletes, not coordinated but maybe done by 1 or 2 members of a team or a club doing odd actions with an official match.

There are many ways to manipulate the outcome of a match, The coach can keep experienced players on the bench with the excuse of resting them for a bigger game play and as such the less quality players will loose the match to the favour of their opponents as agreed in the fixure, plyers can get intentional cards like Lucas Paqueta was accused of getting yellow card in straight 4 matches and that outcome was staked by some of his brazillian brothers who cashed out huge on it. Some manipulations in matches look very real and even you cannot identify it, but it surely exists even in major leagues.
