To me in my own opinion, dressing well and seeking help is not actually a bad thing, looking neat, and confident does not mean you do not have challenges or that you don’t need support, in fact looking at most many successful people prefer to assist people who show self respect and seriousness through their appearance and how they coordinate themselves. That mentality of looking poor to get help can actually work in some cases, but it can also limit opportunity because the way you dress is the way you will be addressed, and when you are dressed and well presented, people are often more willing to listen to your ideas, and connect you with opportunities. To me what matters most is honesty if you need help, be truthful about your situation regardless of how you dress.
Yes, thinking about good dressing is not bad approach. Dress is most important factor because it convey powerful message about your personality without using words. It describes or reflects the status, or even mindset of an individual. Here I would like to share real story of mine. Me and my friend were doing job in an office, my friend could not afford good dressing because of poor financial condition. But I was very up to date and maintain good appearance , so I used to experienced huge differences in dealing or even in communication of others colleagues with us despite working hard. Even she got lower percentage of increments in salary. I have learned a lot through this that how much our strong dressing influence others mindset. So yes it's reality dressing sense can give you Job's security. While conducting interview of the candidates, an interviewer always focus to select those person who have equipped with skills , degrees and good dressing sense even the condition of shoes. To build strong impression on others dressing is powerful tool for this

Wether or not we care, it is just so unfortunate that society will always judge People based off their appearances, like it's just the usual, some certain attire will attract certain attention when you walk into the room and that's just how it has been wired into society and alot of persons look towards society for acceptance. I mean I have caught myself the same act sometimes and depending on the venue but the truly tour looks can affect how perceive you.

I do think you should dress how comfortably you want to and also be ready to be perceive by others, now I'm not saying you should be bothered or say "look forward to being judged"  but then you can't ignore the fact that society will always judge so do with that what you will.

I will always advocate for simple dressing as long as you don't display nudes to the public. This stereotyping and labaling people people by what they wear is very bad, in my country there are places were culture are valued and respect, in the sense that if you see people dress in particular sense, they identify you as such people and I asked, what happen to dressing to look nice, why do we see problem in this but see english wear as normal dressing, like who made this rule.  Grin

It's getting worse that once you pierce your nose, you are labelled as a b**ch or slut, if you wear a leg chain, you are labelled the same. Who exactly makes the rules to identify people based on what they see? Just because one person is caught or identified doing that doesn't mean that everyone is doing the same. For many years, dreadlocks were rejected as a style by society, only Jamaicans do dread, but fashion has modernised it to something every celebrity used today, funny world.
