I have been here in Bitcointalk for many years already, so I am not really a newbie anymore. I may not be the most technical person here, but this forum taught me a lot over the years. Back in the day, I learned many things here that helped me build confidence in crypto and investing. I also made some investments because of the knowledge I picked up from reading discussions here. So in some way, I am really thankful to this forum.

Now I have a kid, she is already 18 years old and mature enough to start learning things on her own. I want to introduce her to this forum, not just for earning, but mainly for learning. I want her to understand how discussions work here, how to respect other members, how not to spam, and how to actually contribute something useful.

Of course, if there is an opportunity to earn later on then maybe she can also grab it, but I do not want her to come here with that mindset first. I do not want her to become one of those users who only post for campaigns or rewards without really learning anything. My problem is, I am not very good at teaching. I know the value of this forum because I experienced it myself, but explaining it properly to my kid is another thing.

So I want to ask some advice from older members here. How would you introduce btt to your son or daughter?

I have experienced this sometimes. You have started this topic with really good intentions, as far as I have analyzed after reading your post. So, this is bitcointalk, that is why you have to see first if your daughter takes an interest in bitcoin and the crypto space. After that, you have to check if she is interested in writing and feels better while interacting with different kinds of users. If she shows her interest in both, then I think you don't have to use your more energy here to bring her on BTT. I wanted to bring some people I knew, but every time I got disappointed, that's why I don't discuss about BTT with anyone anymore and save my energy haha.

Besides this, if I have to share my personal journey about landing on this forum, then I was the person who invested in Bitcoin first, which increased my interest related to crypto and Bitcoin discussion. After that, this forum caught my attention, and after that during all that time while I am here on this forum, I have learnt a lot from multiple users. So, it would be great if you could check first your daughter's interest, whether she is interested in the crypto space or not. This is my suggestion to you.

To introduce your daughter to this forum is not a bad idea, it will really help her to learn about Bitcoin if she is interested in learning about Bitcoin. The main challenge you will have is if she don’t want to learn anything about Bitcoin, but if she is active online and have good educational background, I am sure she will be happy to be introduced to the forum because the discussions that are going on here is educative and interactive, therefore, you can inform her and introduce her to the forum, let her know about the important of privacy in her investment, and let her know that this forum is the best place to learn and interact at the same time.
