Yes, I did realize that.    My point was it sounded like you were referring to yourself: that's not your fault, but just the overall loosening of proper communication due to digital assistance.  (My point, and the topic of this thread)

You need not to be, I'd be just as proud and happy as I am now if I only had daughters. Son or daughter, children are gifts from God.

I agree with you - each gender has their own hopes and dreams.  Since I had heart surgery when I was 13, I missed out on all the things boys did before that age.  I was just hoping to experience it through his eyes. 

If you had been a native English speaker, we would not have had this exchange.
