I don't know why our leaders have decided to remain silent when it comes to insecurity. Why in a country like this insecurity would have been the number one priority they would have tackle first. It can only be a bad government who do not understand that the life of the people they are ruling is so very important. We have to be wise, by choosing the rightful people who have human sympathy and ready to take risk at anytime insecurity arises. Because, the level of insecurity is a problem in this country, no day you don't hear a very scaring news either on social media or television. So any president who is appointed to be on that sit for four years, should be ask how he intends to tackle insecurity when it happens.
I agree that insecurity should be one of the top priorities of any government because protecting lives and property is the primary responsibility of leadership. Beyond campaign promises, citizens should demand clear strategies and hold leaders accountable for their performance in office. At the same time, tackling insecurity requires not only political will but also better intelligence, proper funding of security agencies, and cooperation between government and the people. A safer nation benefits everyone, regardless of political affiliation.
