PNH, PINOCCHIO COIN
Scrypt, CPU mineable, no ICO, no presale
Mainnet live. Anyone can mine.
WHAT THIS IS FOR
PNH is the coin behind Planet Pinocchio, a fictional football
universe with records running from 1983. Twelve clubs play a
22 round league plus two cups. A result is simulated every
Saturday and the clubs are paid PNH on chain for it: 600 for a
win, 200 for a draw, 100 a goal, with multipliers for cup
rounds.
Every payout is a real transaction to a real address. The
twelve club wallets and their balances are on the site, and
you can check any of them on the explorer.
So the chain has a reason to produce blocks every week that
has nothing to do with speculation, and the payout history is
public and permanent.

Explorer
https://planetpinocchio.com/explorer.htmlSource
https://github.com/pinocchiocoin/pinocchiocoinReleases
https://github.com/pinocchiocoin/pinocchiocoin/releasesDifficulty retargets every block over a 24 block window with a
3x clamp, so it tracks real hashrate. The chain does not stall
when miners join or leave.
PROJECT ALLOCATION
Block 1 pays 1,000,000 PNH (1.2% of max supply) to
PVZnbusbn3c5hyaVifn3whc3gxrSedLJjv
Blocks 2 onward pay 50 PNH on the standard schedule. The
allocation funds the weekly club payouts, OTC purchases from
miners, airdrops and future exchange liquidity.
Implemented in GetBlockSubsidy (validation.cpp), verifiable on
the explorer. No ICO, no presale, nothing sold.
READ THIS BEFORE YOU MINE
Your mining address MUST begin with P.
Put addresstype=legacy and changetype=legacy in
pinocchio.conf before generating an address.
cpuminer --coinbase-addr builds P2PKH outputs only. Give it a
P2SH address (starting Q) or a bech32 address (pnh1...) and the
miner will accept it, blocks will be found, and every reward
will be permanently unspendable by anyone.
Mine one block, confirm your balance, then run for longer.
1. BUILD THE NODE
sudo apt install -y build-essential libtool \
autotools-dev automake pkg-config libssl-dev \
libevent-dev bsdmainutils libboost-all-dev \
libdb-dev libdb++-dev
git clone
https://github.com/pinocchiocoin/pinocchiocoincd pinocchiocoin
./autogen.sh
./configure --with-incompatible-bdb
make
Prebuilt Linux x86_64 binaries are on the releases page if you
would rather not build.
On Ubuntu 25.10+ / GCC 15, if the build fails with "std::array
has initializer but incomplete type", add #include <array> to
the named file, or build with g++-12.
2. CONFIGURE
~/.pinocchio/pinocchio.conf
rpcuser=CHOOSE_YOUR_OWN_USERNAME
rpcpassword=CHOOSE_YOUR_OWN_STRONG_PASSWORD
rpcport=9779
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
port=9777
txindex=1
addresstype=legacy
changetype=legacy
addnode=13.60.252.130:9777
Those RPC credentials are yours alone. Your miner will use them
to talk to your own node on localhost. Never put them anywhere
public and never point a miner at someone else's RPC.
3. START AND VERIFY THE CHAIN
./src/litecoind -datadir=$HOME/.pinocchio
./src/litecoin-cli -datadir=$HOME/.pinocchio getblockcount
Confirm you are on PNH mainnet:
./src/litecoin-cli -datadir=$HOME/.pinocchio getblockhash 0
Must return f1bd5b30b65b...29dbca73 (full hash above). If not,
you are not on this chain.
4. GET AN ADDRESS
./src/litecoin-cli -datadir=$HOME/.pinocchio \
getnewaddress "mining"
Verify it starts with P and check the type:
./src/litecoin-cli -datadir=$HOME/.pinocchio \
getaddressinfo YOUR_ADDRESS
You want "isscript": false and "ismine": true. If isscript is
true, addresstype=legacy is missing from your config. Fix it,
restart, generate a new address, and do not mine to the old one.
5. BUILD CPUMINER
sudo apt install -y build-essential libssl-dev \
libcurl4-openssl-dev libjansson-dev automake
git clone
https://github.com/pooler/cpuminercd cpuminer
./autogen.sh
./configure CFLAGS="-O3"
make
6. MINE
./minerd -a scrypt \
-o
http://127.0.0.1:9779 \
-u YOUR_RPCUSER -p YOUR_RPCPASSWORD \
--coinbase-addr=YOUR_P_ADDRESS -t 4
You mine against your own node, so the rewards are yours and
nobody else holds your credentials. Use one fewer thread than
you have cores so the node stays responsive.
7. CONFIRM IT WORKED
After your first "accepted: 1/1", stop and check:
./src/litecoin-cli -datadir=$HOME/.pinocchio getwalletinfo
immature_balance must read 50.00000000
If it reads 0.00000000 your address is the wrong type and that
reward is gone. Go back to step 2.
Rewards mature after 100 confirmations.
Back up ~/.pinocchio/wallet.dat. It is the only copy of your
keys.
NOTE ON WSL2
A node under WSL2 syncs and mines fine, it just will not accept
inbound peers. Use native Linux or a VPS if you want a fully
connected node.
HONEST POSITION
No exchange listing and no market price. There is no public
pool yet either, so mining is solo against your own node.
I am talking to pool operators about that.
In the meantime I will buy mined PNH directly for BTC or ETH.
Email
info@planetpinocchio.com with the amount and your
receiving address. The rate is negotiable, because early
trading is what establishes one.
I hold most of the current supply, for the obvious reason that
I have been the only miner. That changes as soon as anyone else
turns up, which is rather the point of this post.
MORE
https://planetpinocchio.comhttps://planetpinocchio.com/league.htmlThere are also ERC-20 tokens on Base (PINO, wPNH, three club
tokens). Separate assets, not mined, not convertible to or from
PNH, and not required to mine.
Questions welcome. I will answer them.
