I recently realised that 1win has started a campaign sponsoring independent porn actors with high payments just to wear branded merchandise and put sponsored segments within their profiles and videos.

What's the motivation behind this? Since this is as crazy as it can get, I can assume the senior executives may be running a porn site on the side/ they just came up with the most sickening idea to promote their services and take advantage of the traffic on the site.

This was so crazy to me at first especially considering how big of a casino 1win is. They're licensed in several countries and also hold a Curacao license trying to attract users worldwide even in countries where they don't hold a direct license.

Reading a bit into it though it doesn't sound very surprising. 1win was completely banned from operating in the UK and this was in part because they featured nude dealers on their online live games...

The level of disgust is real. In a world today where we have children below the age of consent gambling like their lives depended on it, that's now a two-way problem.

They've been seeking unconventional marketing even when they were operating with more licenses than now. Now that they lost some licenses they even amped up the quirkiness of their marketing to the extent that they make direct deals with porn actors.

Countries where gambling is illegal promote gambling in different ways. Especially now online gambling has become widespread. And this is why they run ads on various online  platforms. These are commonly seen in pirated movies. Apart from this, gambling can be seen a lot in various social media. Rising female stars or onlyfans model  are used more in these type of ads than porn actresses. Most contain obscene ads. The government has no control over them.

Most big gambling platforms use influencers and superstars for the marketing of the service.
Having said that, the platform not holding a direct license of a country doesn't mean they can not provide a gambling service in their soil because some licenses allow gambling platforms to provide gaming service in some jurisdictions despite not having the country's geo license, since they follow the country's rules and regulations.

Casinos are for adults, even though this means that the porn aspect in casinos is a bit intense, but this means that things are very different because the casino is for adults, they can do it but it's grotesque, it's something that can look bad. If we compare this casino with others, the others don't include porn, but porn must pay very well and that's why this casino has made that decision.

Even I have created a thread about most reputed casino names popup on the porn websites and it is kind of a normal thing though, because adults are the target audience of gambling, so looking for them in the adult websites is kind of effective, I guess.

And you said when their brand is banned in certain countries but they still show their brand name everywhere with different channels is just good marketing strategy and we can't blame them for getting their business right, we as user should be careful with what we choose and if government doesn't want such kind of advertisement then they should bring policies to restrict them.

I don't like it either, but I often see some bookmakers using attractive women, not fully clothed, in their advertising banners. Of course, this attracts attention, especially from male players, but apparently the marketing department is tasked with quickly attracting players and is trying to meet their targets and prove they're worth their jobs and the salary they receive. When a man sees such a woman, it catches his eye; he starts to consider her and think about how beautiful she is, as well as the bookmaker's colors and name, which he often sees elsewhere. Overall, everything works, and the man's mind starts to associate positive things with the bookmaker.

For sure 1win is not the first casino to market their service/brand on an adult site but from what I'm thinking, I believe that the reason why they chose to also promote their brand on an adult site is because they want to reach out to more people from different angles. In as much as it's a casino it means that it's for adults and same thing as adults sites too. One major reason why they chose to promote their service there is that they believe more people are making use of the adult sites and so they are also trying to reach out to them too.

Alcohol, gambling, and porn have never been separated. Even in a few countries, things are strictly prohibited, but still many companies keep things alive with their influence. 1win is also entering into this, while a few more will try this, but this never has any impact because the fewest people always engage with this.

Adult sites are working around restrictions, but this is surely not for all because few countries are having this allowance while mostly they have strict bans, especially in a few regions where they feel it's not good, but on a limited basis things like these will always stay around and have their own impact.

Well. Pornography and gambling have something very obvious in common, they are both industries which are exclusively aimed towards adults, and it makes some sense if a casino wants to get more potential gamblers, they will try to advertise on sites and communities in which there is a high concentration of adults with money on their pockets, right?

I like this explanation, you have tried to link the relationship between gambling marketing and pornography and why most of the gambling companies are targeting pornographic websites for their advertising. It is basically because these pornographic websites have a concentrated number of the audience these gambling companies are targeting, which is an adult contents. I think the human behavior in both industries also kinda match each other. Many online gamblers are indoor people and most pornographic content consumers are like that too.

Also, it is a lot easier for casinos and bookies to advertise their services on pornography websites than doing it on television and using billboards, because concerned parents will show outrage ans point at those gambling companies for allegedly trying to push gambling into the general public (teens and children included).
By focusing on adversiting on porn website, there is no excuse for a teen or a child to be there in the first place, so concerned parents and religious people have less arguments to attack gambling advertising in that context.

There are people who literally pay for exclusive pornography, such in the case of Onlyfans and premium subscriptions, so casinos assume those same people will have some pocket change to deposit on gambling accounts.

It's not a secret that sex sells. Advertisements in 70's didn't try to hide how they were using it, even if it wouldn't be porn. Sexism from sexy was tuned down towards 2000, but advertisement has always been going towards what's sexy in that era.

And now when people are more sex positive, and sex-work doesn't have as much stain in it, some people see that venue as untapped revenue. 1win is probably making huge amount of clicks. And i don't think that people who are crying for certain type of morals are the same people using these casinos, or looking at those ads, or if they are, that's just hypocrisy in action.

I don't like the word p*** that is being used in this regard, because that was not the main target here that they are trying to portray, they are only trying to present something attractive and as well lucrative at the same time to their business promotion, so some of this platforms don't mind using anything to captivate users to their platform, I think it is more of a promotion strategy than any other intention for doing this.

They are more productive marketing strategies that they can adopt to promote their casino business but using porn actors is way too bad because it could chase away existing customers who don't like watching porn. They are many popular footballers and  Hollywood actors they can used to promote their casino it will still attract customers.

I'm pretty sure that they have some team who's in charge in marketing and definitely studied that the porn industry is a good target due to its traffic, which is one of their goal. Their goal is to show their platform as many viewers as possible, either in television, banners in whatever website and in this instance through adult actor's profiles. It's is not that surprising at all since it's literally a lot of traffics in adult websites and if they spend money their, there's also a chance that they would spend money on gambling sites.

Porn actors have massive audience. Porn sites are among the top sites with massive traffic in global ranking. So it might be an effective marketing move for casinos. Adult sites and porn actor profiles are some of the biggest and at the same time cheapest pools of viewers online. Casinos goal is to go viral by any means so it's not surprising. Regulation issue is the big challenge here but if they are fine with it, then we will be seeing more of things like this in the future.

The only time that move can be seen as a wrong one is if the casino, in exchange, is also somehow promoting those porn actors to some extent, knowing fully well that not all gamblers are fans of porn and that porn is also not legal in every place they might be licensed and offering service to.

From my perspective as a gambler, I don't think every casino would use that kind of marketing. There are plenty of casinos that have never relied on porn stars for promotion and are still operating successfully today. It may be understandable for casinos to use attractive women in their advertisements, but that doesn't necessarily mean they need to use women in an overly revealing or provocative way.

Every gambling company is always looking for untapped markets (excuse the phrasing!) and these two industries often sit in that "adult entertainment" industry category, so maybe it is surprising that this angle hasn't been pushed much before, or maybe it has and I'm just out of the loop. These sort of companies can be setting themselves up for failure though or very harsh penalties when the owners get unmasked, because it always happens eventually - even if triggered by a leak like we saw with the Panama papers - and there will be most likely US regulators who have the power to chase them down and extradite. It's an even worse idea if you are an already big site, because you've probably reached that level where you are fairly self sustaining and don't need to make yourself more of a target.

It depends on the casino, if they don't mind their site being associated with 'porn' then they can run that campaign. But considering that some porn stars have a fairly large male audience, I think there are some casinos that wouldn't mind having their site featured in their videos.
After all, they're a business, and they want their site to be seen by more people. Having their site on the porn actors' clothes or bodies will, to some extent, leave an impression on viewers, and that could potentially increase brand awareness and the likelihood of new players visiting their site.
