I don't know if the OP has an issue with his HW or the situation is the other way around - because after years of asking questions and hundreds of mostly very good and excellent answers, he appears every few months as a complete beginner who seems to have never used HW.

OP was probably stumped by the relatively new Sync app that Ledger added not long ago. I will do a favor for OP by providing a
reference to the official clarification on what it is and how to use it.
Briefly, it allows users to sync their relevant Ledger Wallet accounts across separate machines, but if they have only a single computer with Ledger Wallet installed, they should never bother with this feature. Otherwise, they should confirm the sync on their Ledger device after the relevant button is pressed on Ledger Wallet and wait... wait... wait.
Hope my remark will save both OP's time and nerves.
