Dopamine is that chemical trap that turns the uncertainty of risk into a compulsive quest for immediate reward. When gambling or any addiction hijacks this mechanism, you no longer seek true pleasure, but merely try to fill a void that keeps widening.

The dopamine is actually not created overnight, it takes sometime of repeatedly engaging in an activity and the brain is then taught to manufacture a feeling for such which comes as a crave that must be satisfied and specifi dopamine are been created to sustain it and create hat feel and crave for it which will have to be satisfied.

100% True

Consistency is the ultimate antidote to the dopamine-driven traps of addiction, so come build that discipline with me in the:

This is very true about gambling and addiction and thst is why some persons just want to gamble for no exact reason, not because  they want to win or they want to be entertained but maybe because they just feel that need to and so they go ahead to satisfy that cravings by almost every and any means possible.
And inasmuch they involve in gambling, they will still become addicted to the game, as addiction can happen in any forms, as they have to just prevent or moderate the way they gamble because they can't win addiction if they don't decide to do the right thing. Also, they have to develop that idea and know that gambling its just game and one can't tell how the game will played out to be, no matter how much effort they put into it. So, they are to try their best and if their best its not enough, they should quit from it.

Sadly, most players believe they can decide the given game when all along, they are merely obeying their brain to win every time. The misperception of better thing to come make many to lose control. Understand that house always has better hand and that winning big is illusion and actually may destroy your own personal financial status.
Yes, this desire to want to win is what makes gambling continue even though the results that occur are successive defeats, this is because of a strong urge that cannot be ruled out, moreover those like this put great hopes in gambling so it is difficult to stop so that it makes players unable to control themselves or as you say lose self-control.

With the actual victory it is real, but we must be able to limit ourselves not to pursue it because when we pursue it here is where the destruction begins to occur.
