Sometime I feel like this country is just a joke ,like things keep happening every day,I'm not surprised because the level of kidnapping is alarming ,and no security officer to go after kidnappers that is why is easy to use that as an excuse to extort money from family, because they know how the country is ,if the money is not paid ,they may hear a different story, welcome to naija where everything is possible, imagine a married woman faking her kidnapped just to be with another man , something as huge as kidnapping,I'm not surprised that is the country we are .

They are going after many kidnappers, but the most difficult ones are the Fulani bandits that will enter a community, kill adults, kidnap children and adults. Even without these bandits, this would likely happen. We should not blame anything but the woman. Not that she only plan her kidnap alone, she also planned it with her boyfriend, but she is having a husband. Despite her offense, she was begging her husband not to tell her children what she did. She is a very stupid woman.

Is very easy for police to always track down fake kidnapping set ups, majority of those cases always get casted along the way, but warning men to be carful and joining the two cases you mentioned is like putting two different scenarios together and generalising thing's, bit the truth is that is not only women that men need to be carful of this period, we need to be very carful with whatever matter of security most especially incidents that happens and is above our personal control such as black mailing amd security uncertainty like kidnapping.

Women in Nigeria are becoming something else.

Let's not narrow it down just to the women, Everyone in Nigeria are becoming something else. I don't know if it's out of desperation or frustration, but what people are doing now without consideration of who gets affected is really surprising. We are facing the out burst of insecurity from bandit in the country and suddenly kidnapping has been the newest job in town. When will Nigerians grow up? This Is why our government has chosen not to take anything really serious.

Just few weeks ago in my state, we were no longer talking just of bandits kidnapping but our own people were taking use of the whole kidnapping opportunity for themselves. They pick up anyone in a vehicle and take you to an unknown location demanding for millions in naira. Like what kind of wickedness is actually going on? In a country where people cannot feed, eat or sleep in peace, you are picking random people including students and children requesting money from them?.

I really do pity the future of Nigerians.  if our government doesn't do something fast or step down for people ready to do something, Nigeria will be a war zone soon enough. We won't only be fighting the terrorist but have also civil wars against our own selfs..

I agree that we should be careful about security issues in general, and it is important not to mix different situations together and make broad conclusions. While fake kidnapping setups do get exposed in many cases, that does not mean every security threat follows the same pattern.

The reality is that both men and women can become victims of crime, and everyone should remain vigilant. Rather than focusing on one group, it is better to encourage people to be cautious about all forms of security risks, especially those that are beyond our personal control, such as kidnapping, blackmail, fraud, and other security-related threats. Staying alert and taking reasonable precautions is something that benefits everyone.
