News update.

There were 2 hacks where this had the possibility that AI was used. The Liquid network hack and the Harmony blockchain hack.

You can speculate that every hack is the work of AI or that AI was used, but what is the use of this pointless speculation? Anyone can speculate that anything and everything was used, from AI, over to quantum computers, or perhaps it was even the involvement of aliens? Without any kind of shred of proof, completely empty speculation is worthless. If there was at least some kind of indication that it was used, then it could open an interesting discussion but without that it remains empty speculation.

These hackers appear to be calling themselves white hat hackers heheeheh. I speculate that they do this to avoid the government from finding them and putting them in prison. Also, similar to the actions of white hat hackers, they will return some of the stolen funds and get some for themselves hehe.

Calling yourself a “white hat hacker” does not make your actions legal.  Furthermore, usually a white hat hacker is not able to decide what amount is going to be kept and even less so are they able to extort the team for the funds. Whoever it was, if this was truly their belief, it shows how inexperienced they are.

On the hackers beginning to call themselves whitehat hackers. Agreed, and it appears that you did not read my post properly. The argument is hackers similar to Lazarus will hack a network and declare publicly that they are whitehat hackers and will propose the terms. They will only do this to try to avoid the government takedowns heheheheeheheee.

Every speculation that is not based on proof is empty speculation. I said that due to the times that we are in you could assume that everything is the work of AI, and that position would not benefit you in any way. Neither does speculating.

What do you mean I did not read your post? I continued in dismissing the claim that they are making. Publicly declaring that you are a whitehat hacker while committing a crime does nothing at all. If you are significant enough, the USG will come get you.

I don't see what quantum computers have to do with this, given that the projects were hacked due to errors in the program code.
What is the point of returning funds to the Liquid Network project first and only then imposing conditions? Why didn't they make the project agree to their demands right from the start?
