Bitcoin on the other hand is just a protocol that's meaningful for some people, and i doubt it's going to play some essential part in our future dystopia.
I share your view on this. The potential of Bitcoin is undeniable, but I also think it will not change anything in the current financial system or take on any truly essential role in our economy.
Even if bitcoin continues to grow and achieve a larger market cap, most day to day economic activity will still be driven by fiat and the banking system.
Bitcoin will remain an alternative option for a specific group of people rather than becoming the foundation of the financial system or playing a central role in the global economy.
I agree with your view bitcoin clearly has a lot of potential but I don’t think it will completely change the current financial system or become something the global economy depend on even if bitcoin keep growing and reaches a much higher market cap most daily transactions will still be done with fiat through bank and other traditional financial institution.
