For those who bet on totals, why do you like it?

Personally I feel it is one of the safer options in gambling especially when you consider the recent statistics of the two teams for instance if it is football and we have two attacking teams playing it is logical to consider that there will be a lot of goals in the game and for such a game you just go with a total number of goals that is expected rather than just picking a winner when you know that any of the teams can win. Another option again that I think is very good is a double chance That is the option of where one team either wins or draws.

what you have said has to do with thorough analysis to be able to determine the correct outcome of a bet especially when you are considering the total possible goal in a football match. I would prefer picking a team to win than going for totals goal even if any of the team can win. The option I would also prefer more than going for totals is double chancing , if you are not sure of the team that is going to win instead of betting on total goals it would be good to double the bet.

It's actually a player's preference, in my case. It depends on the game, I don't usually bet on totals when it comes to NBA or basketball, since I find it more volatile and if I can remember, all of my bets in totals were at loss (but I actually didn't bet that much in basketball totals) but when it comes to football, it's easier for me to analyze the games and previous matches of the football teams that's why I mostly place bet in totals in football matches. Honestly, not all odds were great that's why I always place a parlay bet (same game parlay) that includes 1x2, total corners and total scores.

There are many different approaches to betting on totals. If you bet on the under, you can’t really celebrate even if your favorite team scores, so it doesn’t seem very fun. But with every second the game goes scoreless, you get one step closer to winning your bet.

If you bet on the over in totals, you celebrate every goal, every basket, or whatever the sport is, every score. So seeing good scores also means making money. It’s also nice to enjoy watching the game after your bet has won.

But I believe that betting on the final scores is much harder than predicting the winner. I want to talk about this especially since we’re in the World Cup season, when there can be so many unexpected results.

I don't usually bet for the totals but when i have doubts on the match winner that is when i go for the totals. For me betting for the totals isn't that exciting like betting for the match winner because you don't have a team that you sided which makes your bet somewhat boring, just my though and my personal opinion though. TBH, i've got a high win rate betting for totals but the number of bets i've made is less that 20 but still it is profitable for me .

If I am ready to sit with the match I find it very fun to bet on goals rather than the winner but it depends on which you are more into, everyone can't like the same thing.

Sports betting can be stressful at times, when I am in a position where I have to do one or two things then I will prefer to bet on a winner, I won't be around to watch the game so it's fine to bet on who wins.

Either ways, loss are still present, you are free to try out any but goals bet are more stressful than betting on who will win.

Of course, if you bet on the total, you don't look for the winner and so it's less more appealing for some specially if the team that are playing is your favorite. So if that is the case then I would rather bet on the ML or the handicap.

But sometimes I do bet on totals, if I can't pick up on who is going to be the winner for me. So I just look at their stats and just see what will be the best bet, if it is going on the over or under in their totals.

I rarely bet on totals, but I do like betting on certain matches when I see that there is a clear favorite dominating the attack while the underdog is defending well. Sometimes the match reaches a point where the odds on just one more goal become quite attractive, and that's when I may place a bet. I can also occasionally bet on totals before the match starts if the odds on the favorite to score over one goal are already appealing. However, most of my bets on totals are placed live during the game.

Yes, I do and plenty. Often I wouldn't bet on winner but make such bets, and it's not about liking such bets, it's just if I find a worthy bet to take, I take it and it's not better than any other type of betting available, if anything it's similar if not same.

If I recall correctly, I rarely bet on over/under. I mostly bet on moneyline, and I usually do parlays. Betting on over/under is more of a personal preference and doesn't necessarily increase your chances of winning coz just like moneyline bets, over/under bets are also unpredictable.

What's your experience with betting on over/under? Did it improve your profit even a little compared to moneyline, or do you just prefer it because you feel more comfortable with it? If it did, then maybe you're simply better at analyzing that type of bet or maybe a bit luckier. A small improvement is still an improvement.

Anyway, just stick to whatever works for you or whichever bet you think gives you better profit.

I almost never bet on totals. If I do, it’s very rare, especially on the under. I think it may be psychologically easier because when the match starts, your bet is in a winning position until the teams begin scoring goals, but I prefer betting on the over and hoping to see as many goals as possible in the match. You are very correct, that is what some gamblers usually do, for them to bet on totals, they rather double their bets, for them to keep maintain their bankroll rule, its good to do what your brain understand than to force yourself to bet or try another method, as you might later regret or feel disappointed about it in life, and also in gambling, the game doesn't care how good one is or how much one stake on gambling, if one make any wrong move, its gone and betting with what one can't afford can really be a painful thing.

I believe more in trial because any thing that work out for you in betting is likely becoming a road maps to you luck wave or directions to focus, nevertheless nothing is common in betting because what you think is the best may become the worse alternative when the luck is not on your path. I read somewhere that public bettors, if they bet on totals, love to take the over because they are expecting action and both teams should be able to score well.

If you are not really gambling in a consistent manner, you would rather not touch the total because it is not that entertaining, what is entertaining is betting on the team you want to win, so you will choose the winner most of the time straight up, but most pro bettors love taking the spread.

I am not good in NBA betting and the last time I tried, I lost the game. And if a gambler bet on total, the gambler must be a critical thinker or analyst, and it should be for entertainment purpose but if he chose a win in the bet then the aim is to win and make profit. Likewise for me, I barely bet on the which team to win the game, and that’s because I feel that option is far too risky and more complex to choose, except of course my guts convinces me beyond all reasonable doubts to go for such options in some rare cases. I ordinarily feel comfortable choosing or making choices based on goals or the double chance options, because these options are a lot more easier to occur in most of the football games. But it’s crucial to remember that gambling can’t be always the predictable, the fact an approach worked this time, doesn’t always guarantee it will the next time.

This is a popular option amongst two teams with almost the same stats, mostly when it is difficult to predict who the winner would be. I bet mostly on Premier league football matches and sone times in La Liga and this option is one of my favorite.

Betting on totals feels more safer regardless of who the winner is and that is an option many would never skip. Even during a match that seems more likelly who the winner would be, it still itches me in my guts to play Overs/Unders because you can almost never go wrong with it.
