Even the dogs on the street know these proposals which are being implemented in lockstep around the globe are to the benefit of the few who will no doubt share their databases filled with every handset owners personal and private lives amongst themselves and any dictator favoured by them will also have full access in order to keep the noose tight around dissidents throats while the sword of damocles will hang over every other innocent handset's owner until it falls when hostile states, criminals and their hacker cartels gain access to the same data. The only losers here are the people who have their data handed over and whistleblowers, journalists et al who will have to remain quiet from now on or look for the old phone kiosk if it isn't already surrounded by flock cameras and old Larry's sensors being perpetually transmitted to the cloud for them once that journalists face is made known to the AI prowlers.

It is also nonsense to suggest that burner phones are used by criminals as a pretext also because burner phones are probably the greatest asset available to law enforcement whereby the false sense of security and payment credit system allows a much greater ability to track and trace a whole host of associates and other valuable evidence once targeted on the suspect where a crook will never carry out business on their registered handset  and will certainly no longer use a burner phone. They will simply use phones registered to innocent third parties so congratulations to the fuckwits who will now cause endless tax payer dollars and police time to be wasted running about in every direction apart from the actual criminals.

The WEF et al needs to be shut down along with all tech companies abusing peoples data and cuckerburg et al need to be shown the door. Now if only there was some form of decentralized phone carrier network or ISP etc  Cheesy

I have travelled to countries where telecom services require one to first carry out KYC verification before activating the service; truth be told, it sucks big time, and yeah, the fraudsters are still always there even after the so-called KYC. The risk is even bigger as customer data keeps leaking amongst people/companies that try to collect user data for registration.
Trying to fight crime is always a lie used by governments and regulators to convince people to embrace the requirements. The real truth is governments use that data to suppress freedom of speech and oppress anyone who dares to try to go vocal against them. It's a bogous proposal, and I know they will try as much as possible to have it passed.
