Religion is not evil, and is not blessing what make it what it will is the individual practicing that Religion, we have some religious fanatics that go extreme all in the name of the Religion mean while they have their own agenda and practice that make them so, those violence we associate with a particular region is because of the actions of those few fanatics and not the general concept of the Religion itself.
Every one has what they really believe on, no one has the right to judge whoever that has their believed, so whether religion is a cursed or not, it depends on every individual. But, the important thing is that one should act on the right thing and not to misbehave about it, to use it against people that doesn't support you or stand by your words, as its important for one to stand by the right thing, that will also stand for you in the future.
