I had a few accounts. I hope it is not a crime to have alternate accounts on the forum. But all my posts have been deleted from all my accounts and my accounts have been banned. I have already informed the moderator but I have not received any reply yet. So I am curious to know from you, can the accounts be recovered? And what is the reason for the ban? There is nothing important in the accounts but they were very old accounts when I started.

If one of your accounts was banned permanently, the other accounts if known will be banned too. It's because forum ban is for person, person who owns accounts, not ban on an account.

That explains why you got several accounts banned.

25. If you get banned (temporarily or permanently) and create a new account to continue posting / sending PMs, it's considered ban evasion. The only exception is creating a thread in Meta about your ban.

That's like the 3rd scam spammer that's had the nerve to complain about their posts being deleted this week. With this one its because he paid good money for those accounts, I'm guessing.

They won't be necessary any more. You are permanently banished from the forum. This forum has zero tolerance on spreading malware and what if awkward is the accounts you used are 8–9 years old. You can't tell me you didn't know the forum rules for all those years unless maybe you stole/bought the acounts.

You need to understand the context. Signature campaigns usually don't allow alt accounts in their campaign, so when they say "alt account is not allowed", signature campaigns are usually involved in the discussion.

If you can, would you mind sharing the post where many sernior member said "alt account is not allowed"?

Why do you have too many of them?

There's no post limit per account, so just two forum accounts can serve you promote your business or products if they are genuine.

I count 8 users just the past few days that I've personally dealt with, there will be more.

We've been dealing with this exact spam for weeks. So, maybe we're finally making a dent in their pockets? I mean every single account that posts this stuff is previously hacked and/or sold accounts which were genuine users years ago.

This isn't the first time this type of thing has happened though, and under various different project names, that stretches further back over years. I mean, even accounts from 2013/14/15 for other spam waves in the past. For this project it seemed to be mainly around 2017/18 accounts.

I imagine this will continue under new users though, since I don't know how much they invested in these 'aged' hacked / bought accounts, but they got nuked within minutes of posting most of the time.

What yiu are using these accounts for matters. If you can say some of the accounts usernames you have not mentioned then it explains that they might be very many.

What do you need those many accounts for? One of many reasons for users like you to be having many accounts under your control is commonly got deception of other innocent users.

What they do is use account 1 to make a post about a project service and begin to use account 2,3,4 and 5 to be making supportive and testimonial comments, just to deceive and get greedy forum users scammed who feel those are comments of totally different users sharing their experiences. The forum is noticing the tricks and bursting it.

The tagging of alt accounts has a reason, which you can see in their references. Usually, they're cheating in campaigns they're participating in, failing to comply with business deals, or evading bans.

By the way, distrust is a term in trust list settings prefixed with a (~). What you're referring to in this context is negative trust.

The forum moderator won't ban an account without reasons. Alt accounts are allowed, but not for the banned person. Because the forum does not only ban the account, as a person, you are banned as well. So any account created by you will be banned if caught. I can't see any innocent user getting banned from the forum. You are hiding something that was already revealed by other users.

Alts aren't allowed for a banned user only; otherwise, it's fine. But you can't cheat or scam someone through alts, then you might get negative feedback. Abusing the forum by posting suspicious links or AI posts would lead to a ban, and abusing the trust system would lead you to a red tag.

The forum moderator won't ban an account without reasons. Alt accounts are allowed, but not for the banned person. According to what was pointed out here, the accounts were sold to the OP, and the OP later used them to spam the forum, which shows that the main reason for the accounts was not the OP having 2 accounts but spamming.
Technically, someone reported the accounts shading activities nd the forum moderator took the necessary action.

For campaign or forum contest related abuse, and merit sharing. Alt accounts are not allowed, anything aside abusing from that alt ccount re encouraged. Read more here.

In your original post on this thread you asked why was your account banned, that sounds somehow like whatever the fault maybe was out of your ignorant which yes feels you were remorseful after learning your lessons the hard way.
Here you are contradicting and likely that you are just playing on people's intelligence here by saying you know alt account is not allowed but yet you own it. In the other way I can also understand your point, any user that tells you alt is not allowed is a lie.
OcTradism was just right but what the forum does not support with users with multiple accounts is using them to cheat such as spamming posts, sending merits within and enrolling in one signature and campaign.
So if your account get linked, a ban of one account affects others linked together.
