At least so far, I've never encountered that problem because I always make sure the address I'm sending to is correct by carefully verifying that it matches what that person sent to me. Some people are a bit careless, they just send their Bitcoin to whatever address they've pasted, glancing at it briefly and assuming it's correct. But the address they pasted might be missing a single character, or the malware could have altered it to someone else's address without them realizing it. Carefully verifying the destination address is crucial to prevent this, and I don't think it's that difficult—it only takes a few moments to do that.
People seek convenience more than anything else. It is laughable that people who own bitcoins condemn the traditional finacial system and how they are not given the freedom to control their money the way they want. Now they own bitcoins, and Bitcoin offers them freedom, yet they cannot take full responsibility for the bitcoins that are in their possession. It takes them nothing to simply cross-check the destination addresses carefully before continuing with the transaction. But laziness, as you said, has eaten deeply into many bitcoiners. Copying and pasting is faster but definitely not safe for anyone to do. No, I will not be that careless.

Not rechecking if the address I copied actually in the clipboard and is the right one.
I think I've made several dumb transaction where I sent bitcoin into some random address I looked up on the blockchain explorer, though I never sent big amount by mistake always small amount because I thought I don't need to recheck, it was just a small amount.
Nowadays I always checked the first and last letters only and I've never made the same mistake again.

Yeah, I’ve actually lost a bit of crypto that way sent it to a random string that wasn’t quite right, and poof, gone forever. Now, I triple-check every address, especially for larger amounts. I hover over the copy button, compare the first and last few characters, and even read it out loud sometimes. It’s kind of stressful, honestly. The thing I worry about most right before clicking pay is making sure the network is right, too. One mistake and the money just disappears.

Someone needed to send some bitcoins to another person they had a deal with and so asked for their address. The fellow sent an address and he sent the coins. Almost immediately, they sent a chat and was like "Have you sent it?" He responded in the affirmative and they exclaimed "Oh no." Even though they didn't give me details of the problem, I think it could be a wrong address or an inaccessible one.
In my experience, I haven't had any cases where bitcoins were lost due to an incorrect address (or something similar). This is because I usually double-check the address. I remembered this incident because sometimes, I do not cross-check addresses when I send small funds. Have you lost some bitcoins because of carelessness?
If you don't check your bitcoin addresses, you'll one day tell us a new story about how you lost a bitcoins (but with details from the original source). Of course, I've lost a bitcoin by accident, but those were due to "errors" of a different nature, namely, the recipient's dishonesty. What are you most conscious about before clicking the 'pay' button?
Did the last few digits of the address match correctly with the numbers on the hardware wallet screen?

I think I never did lose on it via transactions. Before I always click the pay button I always make sure everyrhing is correct especially the address or the fees that I will spent. This is crucial as you might made an error and lose your bitcoin and same goes with tokens and other coins out there. I rarely just copy and paste and send right away as I believed checkung it multiple times will save me more by not losing any blockchain assers.

I lost my bitcoin (not much) by writing down seed words and my writings were too bad. Later when I tried to import the wallet, some of the words were not accepted and I gave up after trying a while. It was the first time I actually was aware of wallet backup importance for my bitcoin and how to do that properly. I did back up the wallet, wrote it down, but I did not test what I wrote. It's recommended by Lopp in his guide and for anyone who are still doubtful about that step "test your backup", my story can help them. How to back up a seed phrase?Loss due to not being able to restore from backup
Regardless of which backup scheme you choose, if you don't actually do a test run of restoring a wallet from it, you can't be confident that it will work when you actually need it.

Fortunately, I have not lost bitcoins because of carelessness because I always double check the wallet address before clicking the pay button. I realize that can makes me send the funds to the wrong wallet address and just cause another trouble. I also ask the receiver to double check their wallet and the "copy-paste" feature on their devices because I have a friend who got a virus that infected the " Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V" on their keyboard.

I've been in the crypto space for quite some time now, and fortunately I haven't experience this one aside from the fact that I haven't get scammed or hacked a well. Looking at the address is what we always say and you know what, it's a MUST whenever we want to make transactions. There are some instances where the hacker already breached a device and before the sender know it, they're pasting the wrong address already instead of the address where they originally want to send those assets. It's becoming common, and that's why as a responsible investor, we must always look at the address where we send our money. What am I conscious on? The receiving address. I always check that it's the same, and there are often times where I look at every letter and number of it just so that I'm sending it to the right address.

Knowing that clipboard malware and other things exist which could possibly affect some user and be the reason for money loss from them. Ever tried to avoid doing that copy and pasting then send right away. Since we are provably one step for creating mistakes for doing such action. Best action to do is to verify always the transaction we made and have knowledge towards those risk to know how to avoid those matters.

Checking the address two or three times is good but for me, I would like to send a small transaction to test and confirm that my device is good, not infected and nothing wrong with my transaction. If there are any malware, virus to steal my coins, it would happen with my small transaction. So if that small transaction was sent well, I have more belief that I am save, and my bigger transaction sent some seconds or minutes later will be well too. Accepting to spend a little bit satoshis for transaction fee of a small transaction to test, is acceptable for me, to make sure that I won't lose big money later.

Now I always make it a habit to double-check the destination address for every transaction I make, whether it’s by copying the address or scanning a barcode. I almost never make mistakes with the destination address, but I’ve had a few experiences of writing the wrong amount to send. It was only off by a little, but it was enough to cause panic. Fortunately, the mistakes happened when sending to my own casino account.

Those who use gadgets, in my opinion, can somehow justify their inattention when sending and an error when entering an incorrect address. But anyone who sits in front of a monitor, having plenty of space to compare and carefully check the address, slowly and literally character by character, and still makes mistakes must assume the label of a fool, someone who has great opportunities but stubbornly does not use them. To be honest, I really don't like using my gadget in all its proposed directions, but I use it exclusively for the purpose that it is required to carry, namely for conversations. Everything else can be checked on a large monitor, error-free, calm, and very convenient. But if the OP explicitly states that he does not verify the entered addresses, then this already says more about him 🤷♀️(who he is) than about all his devices and methods of handling cryptocurrencies.

When I first got to know Bitcoin, I used Trust Wallet, at that time the wallet had not been modified like it is now, it was still manual, just like other wallets. Because I often connect Trust Wallet to other sites, such as illegal gambling and so on, so I don't know where I made a mistake, Strangely, one day when I sent Bitcoin from another Wallet to Trust Wallet that day the Bitcoin disappeared within minutes, only being held for a few seconds in Trust Wallet. That's when I started to doubt using a wallet and until now I no longer use it, that was my bad experience of losing the Bitcoin I had.

Yes. I lost my bitcoin after sending it to a random bitcoin address copied mistakenly from my wallet. I was supposed to send the bitcoins to my other wallet for storage, but eventually, after a while of copying the address, I came back to the wallet to study, and I didn't cross-check the address. Unfortunately, I realised it after hitting send. After waiting for hours without receiving the coins, that's when I knew I made a mistake. Lucky for me, the amount was not above $50.

This type of problem is very common for new users. Just as a sender should check the Bitcoin address before sending Bitcoin, the person receiving it should also be aware of his address. Even if it takes some time, I think it should be done. When someone makes a mistake while sending or receiving Bitcoin, he realizes his mistake. A mistake can be a big mistake in a person's life, and there is no way to fix it. That is why you should check again and again before making a mistake. Even if it takes extra time, it is definitely positive. When a mistake is made, you think why didn't I take more time to check it. Even if the regret increases, there is nothing you can do about it.

So far I have not sent Bitcoin to any false address. I always used to read forums, take help from friends who were in crypto, and ask community members. When AI came, I started asking it about the network and the main differences between different types of Bitcoin addresses. That time spent is paying off, as I have not made such mistakes yet. Although one time I sent some ETH by mistake on the wrong network and it never appeared. But the amount was too low at that time, and I made this mistake because it was 4 am to 5 am in the morning and I was sleepy. I still made the transaction because I had to eat fast haha, so I made it without seeing properly. I did not know, but it was a basic human error. Which could happen to anyone. Before paying, I triple check and I double check the address I copied to protect myself from address poisoning attacks.

Even though I have not lost Bitcoin, it's a lesson we all that when ever you are trying to make any transactions it important that we take our time and not be in a hurry to do it. The reason is Bitcoin is not like our normal banks were transactions can actually revised, since Bitcoin is a once sent and everything is done thing, there is need to always cross check especially the address you intend sending the coins to.
Another thing is to ask the person that you are sending the coins to confirm the address that is given you. The essence of asking the person receiving to do a cross check before you send is to eliminate mistake and error which may occur in the process of sending due to human errors.

Not Bitcoins but I lost around almost $6000 USD in wrapped Solana because of their shitty, buggy Trustwallet UI. Although I can understand if there are those who would blame me since I was the one who trusted Trustwallet (BIG MISTAKE, ironically! ) but what really happened was that the UI was so bad and faulty (even with error messages) that making such a misstep was not only likely but only a matter of time. Stay away from Trustwallet, everyone!

Actually, many banks and ewallets have updated their terms and policies. If a transaction is authorized using your registered device and the required OTP, you are generally considered responsible for it. If you accidentally send the money to the wrong account, it is treated as an authorized transaction rather than fraud, which means it is often irreversible.
