I did a quick search and you are right about it mimicking gambling. It is based purely on luck and no skill. Gives the illusion that the player is in control.
It is a no risk game cause the participants are not taking their own money to it before playing and faces no risk of losing money on choosing wrongly.

But where it gets tricky and changes the player psychology making it looks like gambling is when the player player is left in between choosing what they have in the case and what the dealer is offering for the case. You are either left with regret or joy as it is in the casino cash out feature.

This is technically gambling because it will create the feeling of excitement and uncertainty for every wrong decision made by the player will led to missing an important opportunity.

In technical term what does the definition say about gambling?
What I know about the technical definition of gambling is that it involves something that has to do with value (money/asset) to put at risk with the chance (uncertainty) of winning a prize/reward. However, there are always technical advancements and evolutions in things, especially when a new concept nd strtegy comes into the picture, so we can use the old technical definition of gambling or less we'll be stuck just like the education system that keep replicating old system instead of applying advancements.
For example, before, we never understood that dopamine was one of the major causes of addiction; now almost every gambler knows that, so we have to use the knowledge of new reserch nd understnding to battle gambling addiction.

Does the technical terms states gambling is defined by emotion?
The technical states of gambling my not include the use of emotion, but you, as a gambler, practice when gambling is what will define how you see gambling.
Have you never once gambled with emotion?

So it's like a game without the risk of losing? A game like that is just for fun to watch. The psychological game used is only to influence the player whether to settle for the prize or to bet it for a potentially bigger, or maybe smaller, reward. Once the initial prize is won, the next offers do feel like gambling. But still, the player won't be at a loss even if they don't win anything in the game.

Since the player does not lose even if he does not win in this game, it cannot be called gambling directly. Because the basic rule of gambling is to deposit some money and bet, which if you lose, you will lose and if you win, you will get a big return. So I think, if you can participate in a game without depositing money and if you win, you will get a big prize, then it cannot be called gambling in any way. I think this game is designed to make the player win.

A game that does not involve your personal money should not be seen as gambling. Once your money is not involved, it can not be called gambling but it can become tricky when there is a reward for you when you use your chances very well.
This is like the regular hunting games we do watch on the TV. They can come in different version that can look like sport but not a gambling show.

I don't see the game as gambling though as it does not require any financial commitment before one can be able to be eligible for the game play. I could say it is a leisure game played for fun and luck to be a winner to qualify for the rewards attached to the game. It's not a game of gambling and I don't see it so as long as it does not require financial commitment.
