This is not an official announcement, but according to boxingscene, someone close to the negotiations told them that the date of the fight is December 12 and the location is in Russia. I've also seen several posts online saying that the target date is December 12 and the location is Russia.

A bit disappointed the fight to end in Russia after we have so many speculations about the game would be happening in UK/Monaco/Puerto Rico. Hopefully, this is not official, and it will happen in a better place to fight.

Beside that RIP for smith, this is gonna be a worse loss than when he fought Canelo or Beterbiev. Bivol has power to take him down. I don't see chance for Smith to win this.

So i'm standing on Bivol for this. Smith is just too bad to become his opponent.

In the end, i hope Bivol uses this fight as a tune up before he faces Benavidez.

It's good that we finally have an update on the fight, it's two months before this huge match, just enough time to heal Bivol's injury and a good preparation for both fighters and its good for a fighter to fight in December because its a year ender and he wants a good preparation for the coming year and the best way to do that is to win a match in December.

Of course, we all want Bivol to win this match, because if he does, 2027 will bring us the Beterbiev trilogy or even a showdown against Benavidez, and hopefully, Callum Smith will not ruin our expectations.

Yes, but still though, there are boxers who really want to derail future fights, just like what could have happened to AJ before, when he was upset by Andy Ruiz. During that time there were talks of him and Deontay Wilder fighting if he wins that fight. Well, the rest is history.

Of course, we wanted to see the trilogy between Bivol and Beterbiev, although Arthur might be at a disadvantage as he is getting older will Bivol is the more active. But we can only hope to see the best fight in the last couple of month and up to the end of the year.

That's good, we don't see many big fights happening in Russia, now the people there will be entertained as it's Dmitry Bivol's home country and for sure he will be more motivated to deliver a good win, a knockout would be good to see here although Callum Smith is quite big, he is unlikely to go down easily.

Hopefully yeah. To be honest, I fully expected Bivol to vacate his title to fight Beterbiev when Eddie Hearn said that Bivol will most likely vacate his title to make Bivol Vs Beterbiev trilogy happen, I guess something happened so he didn't vacate his belt. As for Callum, I don't think he'll beat Bivol, so I'm not that worried, but then again, an upset could happen.

I checked my favorite bookmakers to see if odds were available for this fight, but as of now none have been posted. Still, Bivol will almost certainly be the favorite. I don’t expect this bout to end in a knockout since Smith is a tough opponent and Bivol is unlikely to force the issue. He’ll take advantage if a knockout opportunity presents itself, but otherwise he’ll be content to secure a decision win.

After this, i hope that Bivol will proceed with the trilogy with Beterbiev as the old man has been waiting for too long now.

I checked if they have odds on stake.com and metaspins. On stake and metaspins, Dmitry is the obvious favourite, 1.14 for Dmitry Bivol and 5.00 for Callum Smith. On metaspins, the odds 1.14 for Bivol, and 4.90 for Smith.

After this, i hope that Bivol will proceed with the trilogy with Beterbiev as the old man has been waiting for too long now.

That's good. Finally a date about when the fight to happen is already published. So i can say R.I.P for Callum Smith. Smith won't be able to utilize his power, then Bivol will take this game easy. Bivol by KO all the way.

At this point, i'd like to see him fight Benavidez. Benavidez keep calling Bivol is ducking him. So it will be so good to have Bivol - Benavidez.

Aside from the fact that it will be held in Bivol's hometown, the only two losses on Callum Smith's record came from Arthur Beterbiev and Canelo Alvarez which were also defeated by Bivol, that might be the biggest factor why Smith is the huge underdog in this fight.

The ML odds is almost nothing, will wait for the odds for Bivol by decision, that option might be enticing which is the one i'm eyeing for.

The similarity in the odds to the Canelo vs Smith happened because of Bivol is a tougher boxer than Canelo. The odds received by Bivol might be less than 1.10 if he was not getting sidelined for more than a year due to his injuries.

However, i think Bivol is not yet losing his experience in boxing after his long break. The guy who beat Canelo has capability to beat an easier opponent than Canelo. He will win the game with KO if his can perform with healthy condition.

I think Bivol's odds it's not due to the game play at his hometown.
