I have been there before, and I can tell you that I enjoy working for myself more than working as an employee with restrictions on how well I can use my abilities. A true entrepreneur needs no validation from any employer or organization to grow a successful business. I have not seen anyone who is so lazy that they would let their capital waste away effortlessly, except those who are just gamblers.
Nothing matches having to speak from experience.
For those that understand taking risk, it’s not too difficult to appreciate your wins, no matter how little because, that’s what you’ve got to build on and a vision of where you want to be in sight to work towards.
It’s what drives most entrepreneurs, the idea that your worth is not limited in today but have a potential for exponential growth in the future.
It’s different when you work for someone else, you can easily lose motivation or feel you are giving too much and not recovering your worth in salary or wages. That can introduce bias on how you approach your work.
Anyone can give any opinion they wish on this topic, but trust me, if they have ever been in a situation where they were underpaid for their efforts, they will understand that relying solely on a salary won't do them any good.
Some people may do well as employees, while others may never do well as entrepreneurs. But trust me, if you have a creative idea or an innovation worth trying out, my dear, pull out of that salaried job and pursue your idea. Everything works best when you know what your environment is lacking and you try to fix it in a way that will generate income for you. With a good plan, adequate funding, patience, discipline and commitment, the idea will flourish.
For the other set of entrepreneurs who are only deceiving themselves by venturing into businesses they never planned for, simply because they believe they are profitable, they might fail if they are not committed and disciplined.
