OKX is back in Nigeria

OKX sent me an email today which let me know that Nigerians have started using the exchange again, the email is about me to verify some information about which I did. I sent small amount of money there and withdraw it using the p2p and it was all successful.

When they stop Nigerians from using their exchange, Nigeria was no more part of the countries that you can select when you want to verify, you can now select on Nigeria. Also you can not deposit on the exchange because it will not give you any receiving addresses. Also you can not use P2P on the exchange. All are now possible on OKX.

Yes they're fully back and all services restored; they cited change in local laws as the reason they stopped their services to Nigeria I'm wondering what changed now.

Old users will go through a mandatory reverifcation - they deleted our KYC database that's good to know.

Don't you think there return to Nigeria can be suspicious? They must have agreed with the Nigerian government to submit our data to them whenever the Nigerian government asked for Nigerians users data.

Do you think all CEX wey dey operate dont agree to share their citizen information with them? All these are already in the agreement of every CEX and the government. They were previously prohibited because of sharing citizen information, and they were prohibited because of Naira trading on CEX, which they believe is impacting the Naira value. Later, they established working conditions for CEX that will be licensed with the Nigeria SEC.

You're correct that we shouldn't rush to use the exchange, particularly in light of the fact that some CEXs are currently ceasing operations.

Normally anybody wey Dey use all these CEX them supposed Dey do am with extreme caution because anything go fit happen at anytime. With the way the Naija government Dey take tackle these people and the terms and conditions them give them, e mean anyone wey Dey actively Dey operate now for we country, we supposed carry am for mind say our informations no Dey safe with them. I no talk say we no fit use them, sure we fit, because we actually need them, but the thing be say, as we Dey use them, make we carry eye and ear reach ground, make we for no go loose guard ourselves.

Good to know they're fully back now, we need more competitions among exchange platforms so that some of them will stop misbehaving and imposing high transactions fees. We also do hope that Binance reconsider their service to Nigerians again by resolving all outstanding issues with FG because despite that their p2p has not been functional for Nigerians but if they return most of us might run back to them because they still remain the best exchange platform.

OKX is a top exchange and I'm very happy that they are fully back in Nigeria, when they left a lot of exchange users felt the vacuum in the Nigerian CEX space, for them to come back also shows that Nigeria, is a good market for their exchange. I also hope that their comeback would encourage Binance to do the same and enable their p2p feature in the country because they are the number one top exchange, we need all the top exchanges to be enabled in Nigeria. Healthy competition is good in every markets NJ because it improves customer service, as OKX is back in the Nigerian space the other exchanges that we are using in the country would sit up so they won't lose their regular customers to OKX which is making a comeback as a highly recommended CEX.

To prevent something wey go make people loose guard is the reason why i tell the other user say, everything private information shared with CEX never escape the government because no understand this and alot of Nigerian have been arrested through the use of CEX due to not knowing this.

You they right say government fit see all there people way they for the exchange but e no they happen as we they think am because na only the exchange they mostly hint the government when them done see say the money way the person get done reach were them no believe say e come from pure means, another reason government they also enter exchange na when they won no the people way scammers they linked to so that them go catch them but you way they do your normal hustle jeje no get problem with anybody and them no fit see you as person way they do that show so actually if you they fear like that means you no fit get any exchange account be that na because them fit still collect information from them.
