Everyone or a least the majority of persons in the crypto space have being there and that’s basically why this forum was created by the founder Satoshi Nakamoto and it was made to be a discussion platform where knowledge is shared across a wide range of crypto-related subjects.

Literally, every field of studies have got its terminology that makes it unique and defines certain events or conditions in a way that, it becomes easily understood by individuals that ventures therein and are enthusiastic about the field. Now, being a newbie in the space and wants to gain knowledge about such field, of course you would come across terms and expressions that wouldn’t make sense to you or thwart your understanding of the concept.

What do you do, you need to debunk and be sure that you understand the terms as it’s being used because, knowledge is applicable. There are two basic ways of debunking a term,

1. Read ahead to find if you would come by the meaning of a word through the direction of the sentence
2. Research on terminologies about the word in the field.

You really don’t have to go about starting a new study on a new subject like nodes altogether just to understand another concept, you just have to know what the node means and then progress with your studies on a concept. The meaning of certain terms would be explained in the sentence as you read ahead.

It’s completely normal to come by these challenges but, it shouldn’t deter you from learning.

I’m just wondering whether this is a normal part of the learning process. I’m the kind of person who likes to dig deeper and understand something properly when I become interested in it. However, sometimes Bitcoin becomes too technical for me.

I’m still DCAing every month, by the way. The way I feel does not change my behaviour. I can also see the progress I’m making. It just seems to take me more time compared with other people. I know I’m still new to this, but I often get annoyed with myself.
Investments are not ruled by immediate emotions, if you decide to take your investment seriously, you learn to nurture progress, everything you want to know cannot be learnt and understood in one day, it takes a while before everything settles in.

No need to get annoyed, It's not about how you started, but how well you learn and improve in the process. Bitcoin technicality is not compulsory, as not too many people have good knowledge in that aspect, those can be extra layers of knowledge, it doesn't interfere with your investment.

If your only wishes are to make investments, maybe do some trading, and just use cryptocurrencies in general, I don't think you need any technical background to learn the things you need to know about these stuff I mentioned above, because every single thing will have a technical side to it, but an end-user doesn't really need to know the technical aspects of it to be a user, you just need to learn to use that thing, and that's it. For a Bitcoin user, you don't need to know how the blockchain works in the background, knowing that it stores the transaction data and allows transactions to confirm is enough for you as a user.

And, I would also like to tell you that it's a normal process for anyone learning anything. When you are just starting with something, you will surely keep seeing new things about it and then you will either be curious to learn about that first, or you will have to learn about it before you understand the whole context of what you were learning before. This is why it is said that we should always take our time when we are learning something if we want to learn everything properly, otherwise, you will learn about one thing and forget about another that you learned earlier.
