The system has always been if you can't win them you join, fubara realize he can't win but joining them , many lessons to learn about fubara is to avoid starting what you can't finish because it will be a wasted efforts, time and energy and resources also, secondly to fight your master is dangerous mostly when you have not master all the secret of your master, in today many able politicians in Rivers state have loss their life position and dream because of the fight, going back to your vomit is very bad he who fight and run away would have been the best if the governor has the integrity enough to prove himself, politics is all about self because fubara have more than enough to even quit than join back the cartel now his presenting budget according to the choice of what they demand rather than what the people want, all of this big figure are nothing but embezzlement fund which may be targeted on the up coming election.
I think the biggest lesson from the Fubara saga is that political battles are rarely just about principles; they are also about power, strategy, and knowing when you have enough leverage to fight. Starting a battle you cannot sustain can cost you far more than you expected.

That said, returning to the same political structure you once fought against raises serious questions about conviction and political integrity. If the struggle was genuinely about protecting the interests of Rivers people, then the public deserves to understand what exactly changed.

And the budget issue is even more important. Whether it is demanded by the political establishment or not, the priority should still be what benefits the people of Rivers State. Nigerians have seen too many huge budgets become opportunities for politicians to enrich themselves, especially when elections are approaching. The real test of Fubara now is not who he aligns with, but whether his decisions will genuinely serve the people rather than another political arrangement.

Sim fubara is a failure and a political dog to wake, he started a fight he wouldn't finish and later Betrayed all his fellowers at the end. Believe me the Assembly will not pass that budget,  they will delay it till the end of his tenure,  he's a disgrace to mankind,  he has no political will to be class rep or head any political office in Rivers state,  he has taken the state backwards then he met.

Wike and his rainbow coalition has won against Rivers state people because of Sim weaknesses.  Sim surrender Rivers state to wike to milk it dry.  Now wike has given his brother Chida the governorship ticket, and everyone is quite over it, another ikwerre man as Governor after 4 years, its a slap on Rivers state people.
Well said, it is obvious that the governor didn’t do his calculations well, though am not surprised that everything ended this way because right from the onset Fubara was never a politician, worst of it all is that he surrounded himself with younger politicians like Oko Jumbo, Edison Ehie etc who felt that every was more about social media noise.

If Fubara was a wise politician he would have at least waited for the second tenure before starting most of his moves, at least by then he would have gained more grounds against Wike and possibly bought some house of assembly members to himself but he failed in all his calculations, he didn’t even have a good relationship with Tinubu it was later when it was too late that he wanted to amend things. The issue of the budget rumors have it that Wike feels that if it is approved that Fubara might decamp to another party and use the money to sponsor his re-election in another party or that of a candidate of his choice from another party that is why i feel the approval is being delayed, they might approve it probably very close to election when he can’t be a threat to Wike again.

I usually don't like when they say Fubara is not a politician and for that reason he can't fight as a politician, let me ask was there anyone born as a politician?, you must not be born as a politician before you act right or fight politically no one is born with a monopoly of madness we all are crazy but it depends on when each one wants to unraven his or hers, the think is that fubara is just a weak Man and don't have the balls for the game.

What do you expect from someone that was handpicked and given power that he can't use and it seems as if the position is bigger than him. If he truly wants to fight it would have been second tenure not rush and fight in the first tenure and loose your honor and respect, Fubara wanted to fixed things but it's already late and the demigod Wike has already corrected his mistakes as said by handpicking Okay chinda that will complete his 8years tenure, Sim Fubara failed all of us that believed in him.

Politics is about personal interest. The fight between fubara and wike is sharing formula and breach of agreement,I guess you didn't know about that, what there have been fighting for all this years is just to profits their pocket and not in the interest of the rivers people. These two logger heads were best Pals, infact wike took fubara as his son, gave him everything that he owns today, provide him with resources, wike fought with his blood to ensure that he installed fubara as governor of River state before he exit power. Meanwhile before wike accepted to make him the next, governor, the two of them signed an agreement in closed door, after fubara was made governor,he refused to honour the agreement. that was the genesis of their problem.

Fubara was not the only governor that was picked to rule because their has been other governor who got office through that means and from that point they sealed every loopholes for those people to use against them so that they could still continue to focus on the second tenure, so actually you shouldn't feel bad that people are saying those things to Fubara because a lot of people expected him to fight for that office by contesting on the election even if he lost so that they would know that he did something. Perhaps he has learned something from this, incase of the future.
