Setting up a Yiimp multi-algo pool on a fresh box and trying to pick the least-painful base for 2026.

The documented install scripts I've seen (e.g. saltpool) target Ubuntu 22.04 with PHP 8.2 + Yii 1.1.29. Ubuntu 24.04 ships PHP 8.3 by default, and upstream Yiimp is basically unmaintained, so I'd rather not find out the hard way.

For anyone actually running Yiimp on 24.04 right now:

- Are you running the stock PHP 8.3, or pinning 8.2 via ppa:ondrej/php?
- Any breakage with Yii 1.1.29 or the web UI on 8.3?
- Which MariaDB version did you settle on?
- Any 24.04-specific patches needed vs a clean 22.04 install?

Also curious if anyone moved off Yiimp to Miningcore for a cleaner 24.04 stack, and whether it was worth it for a small multi-algo pool.

Running my own rigs + a private pool, so I'd rather learn from your scars than mine. Thanks.
