When he said 60/40 does he mean that the chances of recovery is 60 percent and the chances of losing is 40 percent? If that's what he meant then he doesn't know what he is talking about. There are no strategies that guarantees anyone recovery when it comes to gambling, your friend might be taking a step that he is going to regret In the long run. Don't gamble with the intention to chase your losses because you are only going to end up making things worse.

Gamblers use different strategies at different times. And they have great faith in their strategy to win. There are many new and small gamblers who like to bet on big odds using a small amount of money. But if you bet on high odds, the chances of losing are higher. So they do not use their entire bank roll but spend some of their remaining money. Because of losing the bet, instead of depositing a new bank roll, they go to the casino with the remaining money and bet on small save slot games, increase the bank roll and come back to bet big again. But to be honest, such strategies do not always work. There is a risk of losing money in such strategies too. Which the gambler knows very well. The money lost in the casino can never be recovered. But there is a possibility of increasing the bank roll slightly by using a very small amount of money.

To be honest, there is no guarantee that the money you lost will come back just by switching from one game to another. Many times people remember it more when they get it back once but they don't remember the times they tried and failed to get it back.  At that time people make even bigger wrong decisions due to emotions and lose the rest of their money. Like many people lose money in sports betting and suddenly go to play slots or roulette and at the end of the day, they come back empty handed. Every gambling game has its own house edge, and luck does not suddenly change when you change games. I would say that your friend's ratio is actually a calculation of some temporary good days, but if you try to recover losses in the long run the amount of losses increases.

I still believe that there is no way to guarantee a win regardless of whether your goal is to recover previous losses or not, this means switching to another type of game also does not guarantee the results will be as you expected, I have also been in the situation experienced by your friend, when my balance was almost drained by the first game and when I switched to another type of game my balance grew again, even exceeding the amount of my capital, that is indeed the situation we want but the problem is that we never know whether the new type of game is much better than the previous game or not.

However, this increases my curiosity to know whether this strategy has actually worked for you that way or is not really that possible for one to be switching in between games to recover what they had lost.

It's just pure assumption from that person which also combined with overconfidence, to be this is not a strategy but kind of stupidity to ignore the reality. There is no recovering loss in gambling and if someone says that they can do that easily then they should never been in the loss in the first place.

If I am there, I advice to take a break from the gambling because continuing will lead to more loss if there is no luck left.

Within myself i believe that it's actually hard to recover what someone lost why gambling and there is no day you can quickly recover what you lost today or last few days.
Okay, hard a friend who said that he can recover his loses within the next the few days or 3 days after, and he said; when he places bet with x amount and he loses it, he would switch over to casino game to gamble and by doing so he would be that lucky enough to recover what do lose while gambling. Then again asked again, how sure are you to recover from your previous loss and he said is 60/40, within me I know that is not possible because the probability is actually very poor.

However, this increases my curiosity to know whether this strategy has actually worked for you that way or is not really that possible for one to be switching in between games to recover what they had lost.

I don't really agree with you when you said it is hard for someone to recover what they have lost in gambling because there are time you can recover what you lost in gambling within some minutes or an hour depending on your luck that particular moment or point in time so don't generalize it that recovering money lost is hard. But a gambler should know that whenever they lost money most times it is not advisable to chase after it because you can incur more loss while trying to recover.

There is no precise time duration to make recovery of our losses in gambling, when we are playing we should not focus on recovering or chasing after losses, instead we should count it all as part of the fun we are having, the moment we decided to reconsider our steps and chase after loss will only lead to more complicated scenarios, except we are being lucky to win a jackpot and discover everything loss was fully recovered by that winning opportunity.

Since I only gamble with the money I already earned and can afford to spend, I don't have to think about "recovering" anything. As other members said, we all know that chasing loses is a very bad business. No one should need to keep playing to recover what they should not have lost in the first place, because in that vicious circle is where many of the problems begin.

On the other hand, what your friend is doing is very dangerous, not the fact of doing it but of saying it with the conviction with which it seems that he does it. Perhaps in addition to deceiving himself, he will succeed in deceiving others, and make them fall into the same mistake of chasing loses. I think it is most irresponsible and reprehensible on his part.

Let's focus less on recovering loses and more of what one will lose when trying to recover losses. Someone who is bench on recovering loses will want to risk more to recover. But then end of lossing more than actually recovering. Small lose will eventually become a big one. Now when this so call loses continue even when be has lost trying to recover, there will be something telling him he can do it. Thereby prompting him to go borrow to achieve a wishful dream. That will be devastating if he eventually loses way more than normal. This is where it gets interesting. The so called lose that needs recovering is a disguise to eliminate a pain within him. So he thinks winning will make him feel ok. The core issue. Whether you try to go bet in another kind of sport or not, the underlying issue is still the same. Never chase after losses thinking a win will make you ok.

This is the reason that once you bet, consider it a loss already because the house has a bigger edge than us which means we could lose more than win more, except if we are extremely lucky that time.

Losses are part of gambling, and there is no certainty when will you recover from your losses, especially if you lose more than the amount you can afford to lose. There are those who did not recover at all but still continue gambling hoping one day they'll eventually hit the jackpot while there are gamblers also who quickly recover but since they never stop gambling, it all goes back to the casino again.

Even if you are some kind of experienced gambler or something, it's doesn't happen that fast when it comes to recovery. So many things happens along the line, you get emotional and you might blindly take risk without even thinking it through. It's possible to recover losses, but not when you pressure yourself in haste. Gambling is something that we don't force, winning are based off luck and when you aren't lucky, you lose. Though I don't know the level of experience your friend has, but even as at that, he might be as well wrong because winning is not something we can control at will. You best analysis might be your worst loss. Casino games or sport betting, your chances might not differ that much.

I think gambling is good only for entertainment, gambling to make quick money is not right at all. Gambling aggressively to get back the money you lost while gambling is not right at all, as this can increase the risk of losing money many times over. So it is good to gamble for entertainment purposes only with the money you can afford to lose, as this allows you to maintain self-control over yourself and enjoy the real fun of gambling and protect yourself from addiction. When a gambler gambles aggressively with the mindset of getting back the money he lost, the gambler will face destruction. So I think gambling with the mindset of getting back the money that has gone from his life is very risky.

In casino games, what you win in a short period of time is basically in your hands, but when you play for a long time, the chances of losing in that game are higher because in the long run, the house benefits more in the casino. It is not always possible to recover the loss by winning in another game after losing in one game, and it depends entirely on luck. If someone wants to use this method as a strategy, they may win a round or two, but they will never be successful in the long run. In my opinion, the way to recover the loss of gambling is to stop playing without worrying too much about what has been lost, or to play within control so that at the end of the year the profit and loss are equal or less.

That your friend is lying, because he might have been lucky before, once or twice, doesn’t make it a thing that he can boast of. Slot games are not skill-based games that he could say based on his skills. The winning is guaranteed. It's a totally different case, so he should wake up from the belief that before he set himself up by losing more than he could be

Why win back money you've already lost? I don't understand it... If you lose money at the casino, it's no longer yours. In my opinion, until you understand this, you won't be able to take the right actions. 🙋

Trying to answer the question of whether it's possible to win back losses in 5 or 3 days is, in my opinion, completely pointless... Does luck have a strict schedule by which it comes to people? Luck is not like a factory worker who works strictly on certain days and hours. 🙂 Luck can come to us at any time, or it can't. Of course, we can increase our chances of winning, but we can't call on luck to help. Or rather, we can certainly call on it, but it may not come to our aid. It's not for nothing that luck is considered like a capricious woman...

In my opinion, we all need to learn to admit our losses in gambling. I know, it's very difficult. It contradicts all human biology and psychology.  However, this is the best-case scenario for the player. There's no point in trying to win back lost money. Gambling should be approached as if you've never lost anything in the past and don't plan to lose anything in the future.💁

That is impossible and the more game a person switch to the more losses he might be is likely to make but if that works for him, it is not bad, but I have not seen someone whom this approach has favored before. Winning gambling game is by luck, the games can not be predicted nor manipulated, at times gambling games feels like a game that was built to frustrate players, funny though but it almost seems like that, there are some persons that has been gambling for long but have not made any reasonable win from gambling and he just keep gambling hoping to win someday, but if a gambler thinks he will be able to recover those lose , he should play smart to avoid losing everything in the process.

However, this increases my curiosity to know whether this strategy has actually worked for you that way or is not really that possible for one to be switching in between games to recover what they had lost.
A strategy is good only when it gives positive results. There are some who are profitable using the same strategy, while at other times the same strategy can become a major cause of loss. However, in my opinion, if someone tries to switch to a casino or sports book to recover loss money quickly in gambling, it can often be a major cause of loss. When someone loses, their luck is bad and it may not be possible to get good results even after trying at that time. When I keep losing after placing bets in a sports book, I try to change my bet, but even there my good results are not always good. That is why I think that a bettor should bet within his own ability. If he loses, he should take a break from gambling.

Anyone claiming to have a strategy to recover loses is actually lieing, of course they might be lucky in one way or the other to win frequently or back to back on a streak, but that does not give them the room to believe that it works by their own power, everything is base on luck and nothing more, so I don't believe in what your friend said, just like I said he was just lucky or it was one of his lucky days that he used to justify how smart he is, when there are no such thing like recovering loses. In conclusion, Recovering loses is base on luck and not by will.

Some losses are not meant to be recovered, they end up just part of our gambling expenses, so don't bother thinking of recovering anymore. Its better if you have a mindset to gamble is to lose, or gambling for the sake of entertainment so that once you incur losses, you will never think of means how to recover it.

And let's face it, majority of gamblers are losing their money, very few only have come to recover their losses. If you gamble and feels luck is out of nowhere, then don't expect anymore that by any chance you will recover your losses. Just gamble on your spare money, so that losing it will never be an issue.

Do you mean recovering gambling losses through further gambling plays? That is impossible, as the more you gamble, more money you are going to lose. By doing that you are just going to accumulate debt, without recovering anything.

If you mean to recover losses, you have to do this by working and making a real income. The time it will take depend on the lost amount and on the kind of work you are doing. I would say gambling bankroll shouldn't correspond to more than 5% of someone's monthly income. If you lose it, you can recover the amount quickly without any damage or prejudice over another aspects of your personal life.
