For traders that are well experienced in trading they may not want to use anything less than $200 or let's say $100 because they actually know what they want to target and they understand the best strategies to apply in their trade but for a beginner you don't encourage them to use big capital to fund their accounts to trade, newbies may have be able to afford the amount you mentioned even more but because you you don't want them to lose it all it is better they begin with an amount lower than $50 so that they do not lose it once.
Start up trading capital still depends on the trader. $50 may look to be a safe capital to start with for a beginner trader, but to some trader that are even experienced, that amount is way enough for them to say they’ve deposited a big capital that they’ll use to trade. Amount is subjective to the person that’s trading and not based on the experience they have of the market. What determines long term profitability in the market is knowledge of the market rather than capital itself. Some traders still argue that large capital also helps but even if you have large capital, as long as you don’t have the right knowledge approach of the market, you’ll lose that large capital. With your knowledge of the market, you can grow small account as low as $10 to any amount you want.

Well this issue of how much a trader needs in order to get started with trading isn’t a question that has some kind of a universal answer. And this is simply because everyone has their own individual goals and priorities, and these are mostly what tailors a trader’s decisions, especially when it concerns issue about how much to get started with. Again, the trader’s financial situation amongst other factors equally affects how much they’ll wanna start with.

Beginner traders are always expected to lose their first trade, and blow out their first account due to lack of knowledge and skills, and lack of experience that will result to commit consistent mistakes and losses. But eventually, a trader learned in time, yes it certainly takes time.
As a beginner you are not even suppose to start trading with big amount of money, because their is high chances that you just going to blow the account. Trading is not easy to learn, and whatsoever you learn from anywhere, you will have to put it in practice and in the process of doing that, you just going to be losing some money. When you are learning how to trade, if you haven’t put what you learnt in practice, just assume you don’t know it yet, because it might look easy when you watching tutorial videos, but it’s becomes difficult when you put it in practice. Beginners should just start small, the more they understand how to trade, then they can start increasing the amount they trading with. They shouldn’t be deceived by what they see on social media. Videos on social media will make trading look so easy, and some posts will make newbies believe they can’t lose money. Newbies should know that trading isn’t easy, and they have to take their time to learn about it.

Is it the volume of your capital that determines whether you're going to be in a long term trade or can any amount available encourage both short term and long-term trade. In most cases I observe that my capital go down quick probably because of inexperienced approach but I doubt because what I think that's makes most people succeed in trading is the high volume of start up capital and managing tools applicable to improve trading experience. But what's your take if one must sustain long term trading or investment?
If you are inexperienced, then bro, even if you have large capital, don't trade with it. Trade with small capital because large capital will be lost quickly. You are not experienced, so you could fail to control your emotions. So trade with small capital at first and learn risk management, patience, different strategies that work best for you, and how to control your emotions. There is advantage with starting small because at least it will give you that chance to restart when you lose while you also keep learning. As far as trading is concern, you still learn daily.
Learning daily is for traders that show up all the time in the market to learn something new and look up to their chats to see if there is any trading opportunity. This is not for those that only open the market when they’re funded and want to trade. You can’t learn daily if you only show up when you have capital to trade in the market. It is a continuous learning process, and it pays more those that are consistent and learning something new everyday. Beginners should not worry about the capital because if with more capital you can make more profit, then you can also make bigger losses.
Therefore, focus on learning and gaining the skill because that skill will help you preserve your capital when you increase it.
The repercussions of using large capital to trade is yet to be fully known. It is a vice versa thing. The more you use a bigger capital to trade, the more chances of also losing that money when you face loss. Losses are part of the process, you just can’t do without them. Your risk management skill and approach is what will help in this risky market and stay longer than expected. Skill is important in trading and without the right skills, one will fail to be profitable and would continue losing money.

In my opinion there is no set limit on the capital required to start Trading what truly matters is skill Even with substantial capital a lack of trading proficiency will inevitably lead to losses To me the primary form of capital is Knowledge While money serves as the secondary form with the amount naturally depending on one's financial capacity Of coursE the size of the capital involves varying levels of risk naturally if one is skilled having significant cApital can lead to greater profits however as I mentioned knowledge must come first Without extensive Knowledge a large capital investment simply increases the potential for even greater losses

I doubt because what I think that's makes most people succeed in trading is the high volume of start up capital and managing tools applicable to improve trading experience.
Talking about the highlighted statement in your write up, I think you are wrong with such statement because having a lot of start up capital wouldn't make you a successful trader or an investor, but rather your knowledge and skills needed to navigate your way properly in the market is what makes you successful as a trader or an investor. But what's your take if one must sustain long term trading or investment? To sustain a long lasting trading experience, you just have to manage your risk properly, because if you consistently blows up your account, you will not be able to stay in the market for long because you will not have the margin to continue trading sooner or later. You might make so many mistakes in the market and later recover but the mistake of not managing your risk properly is what you should avoid because you may not stay long in the market if you keep on losing all your trading capital.

Even if you have a large capital at the very beginning, you can invest just a few percent of it and start trading to test your trading skills, but you should be prepared to lose this money. By comparison, you could buy Bitcoin with most of the money you plan to trade, I think the price is already quite good for buying. As a result, many traders say that investing outperforms trading. Therefore, you can immediately compare which will yield the greater profit: the money you invested in trading and are now trading, or the money you invested in Bitcoin and hold.

We are not convinced by this, but we are convinced by our experience and analysis and we also see how much leverage we are trading with. If someone says that he has $50, then it is based on his experience that he can advance himself with these $50 or will lose it. Along with knowledge, we should also have experience on it because when there is knowledge, when we go to the market, the price going up and down is quite confusing. When we look at something wrong and do not try to understand more, then we will go into loss and experts always accept loss happily so that when they take profit tomorrow, they will remember their failure, so there is failure in every path. We do not ask anyone to invest big unless he has both experience and knowledge, until he learns it, we cannot tell him to invest even $10.

No certain amount needed since most of us are doing Dollar Cost Averaging so even start buying at 10$ it is still going to be fine as long as you do it regularly to do DCA, in order ofcourse to accumulate high volume Bitcoin, because you can't really expect a high profit if you are only investing 10$ lng term, I mean it is possible but probably a very long time for that to happened. Also, if you are lucky enough like if you invest 15 years ago maybe. But mostly 100$ is the number that i say to some, it's a good amount and you could start buying like 10$ regularly with that, or maybe you could buy it all at once depending on your strategy it just great to see your portfolio have a 100$ I mean it kinda motivate you do accumulate more when you see your account start growing starting at 3 digit for me was nice, and it wasn't an amount that could destroy your finances so I think it was just the sweet spot for most of the traders to start.

That's if you are making an investment. OP is asking about a reasonable capital to start trading, not about the DCA investment you mentioned. Whatever amount you allocate for investing or trading should be adjusted according to your income or your habits in managing finances. Surely some beginners think that most of the money left after setting aside for basic needs can be used for trading or investing. There are also those who think about using their savings for trading. Actually, that's not the right step. You should set aside some for savings and an emergency fund before finally seeing how much you can use for trading or investing.

By law, there's no specific amount that you must have to start trading, any amount you want to use to starting trading depends on your financial capacity and also based on what you can afford to lose because trading is a risky kind of investment where you could even lose all the money you have invested in it. Is it the volume of your capital that determines whether you're going to be in a long term trade or can any amount available encourage both short term and long-term trade. Yes, your capital can influence it but It depends on the crypto pair you are trading, and also depends whether you are using a high/low leverage or no leverage at all. On the exchange I'm using for trading, if you don't want to use leverage on BTC/USDt pair, your capital should be up to 0.001 BTC because that's their minimum trade amount for BTC pair. Since you are not using any leverage on the trade, you can hold any position you open for a longer time because the estimated liquidation price is usually very far and you can always see it even before you enter the position. Just for example, I have $60+ on my balance and I want to take a trade on BTC/USDT pair with 3x leverage, if the cost for the trade is $43.3 of my total capital, multiple $43 by the 3x leverage, that's $129, the liquidation price will be shown to you. If it's a long position/short position, the liquidation price will be $43,500+/ $86,100+ respectively. From these liquidation price, if you were in a long position, you can hold the trade for a long time knowing that Bitcoin price will hardly drop down to $43k. The image below explains my example. In most cases I observe that my capital go down quick probably because of inexperienced approach Are you using high leverage? which pair are you trading? Always make sure you look out for the estimated liquidation price that is shown to you on the exchange you are using before taking the trade. but I doubt because what I think that's makes most people succeed in trading is the high volume of start up capital and managing tools applicable to improve trading experience. But what's your take if one must sustain long term trading or investment?
Don't use leverage, even if you want to, make sure you are using a very low leverage like 3x and maximum of 5x. It's not only high volume of startup capital that helps some successful traders to sustain a long term position.

Also, if you are lucky enough like if you invest 15 years ago maybe. . I think you are not on the same page with Op. The Op is talking about day trading as it is popularly known and not any kind of investment. On investment, especially the DCA you mentioned, as low as $10 can make a big difference, especially if it is done consistently. In DCA, consistency and discipline rewards. But in reading, which Op is talking about, we know that capital is very important but can be disastrous if not well managed. But I'll say that there's no reasonable amount I can recommend because it depends on; - The knowledge of the trader:: An expert trader can decide to enter market with more than what they can afford to lose, but if an amateur trader does that, it will end in pain.
- Another factor is the trader's financial worth: A trader who is worth less than $2k has no business trading with above $500
- Another factor is an expected profit: He who wants a larger profit would definitely increase their capital

There's no set amount of capital to start trading, as everyone has a different trading style, profit targets, and risk tolerance. Therefore, I can't recommend a specific amount. However, the ideal amount is one you can afford to lose, especially without burdening or jeopardizing your personal financial situation, such as your personal savings, emergency fund, and daily expenses. One thing I want to emphasize here is that no matter how much capital you have, if your approach is wrong, it will all be gone quickly. This is why traders are always required to continuously learn, evaluate, and improve. References: https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/08/minimum-amounts-of-money-to-start-trading.asp

Trading with this kind of mindset will help to keep one in a long run, as large capital doesn't give one the hope that they will profit from their trading, as no one can control the market and since its volatile in nature, it will be good for every trader to keep trading with low capital, although everyone has their own choice, as some work with the mindset that no matter how volatile the market might be, they won't know when luck will hit them, as they don't want to miss any chance of getting huge profit but they are to understand that desperation is not good if it get to make decision for them.

Yep, but newbie traders should also not develop a bad habit of considering small capital disposable money because little by little it will become a huge loss, which you might not even notice until you calculate and analyze your whole trading journey. Therefore, be aware of this, and don't risk too often even if the capital is small. Balance in every sector of life is beneficial, and here as well. I would recommend a beginner start with paper trading, then use small enough funds so that losing them would never affect the trader's life. The goal for the first few months should not be profit, but to find that one strategy that works, and forget the idea that large capital will give you an edge.

Very true about this, risk management is very important for one to learn about it, as it will help one to avoid or prevent some mistakes that will make them to give up and the inability for one to manage the risks in trading has made a lot of people to have wrong impression on it, as some thinks its for people who are rich can only trade. But if one learn or know how to manage the risks in it can actually help them to stay long.

Long-term or short-term investment or trading, whatever we call it, does not depend on the amount of capital. If you want to trade, you can start with the amount of capital you can or have the ability to start with. Again, if you want to invest, you can invest the amount you have the ability to invest. I do not understand how it will depend on your capital in the case of short-term or long-term investment. If you want to invest, then if you invest with $ 100, the amount of profit you will get on $ 100 in the future will depend on your initial $ 100, in this case, if you invest more dollars, you will get more profit and if you invest less dollars, you will get less profit. The amount of your profit will basically depend on the amount of your capital, more and less profit.

As far as I know, carrying out trading activities on the crypto market, whether you use large capital or small capital, Both of them have nothing to do with your goal of trading in the long term, that's the mechanism I know and my experience in the trading journey. In short, trading in the crypto market is very much determined and influenced by the risk profile you carry out, as well as the strategy you use, the amount of money you have cannot guarantee and ensure that you will be successful in carrying out long-term crypto trading.

There is no such ideal fixed reasonable amount to start trading; it fully depends on your financial situation. You may even start with hundreds of dollars, or you may start with a couple of thousand dollars at the beginning. But I prefer that at the beginning you should start with the amount that you can afford to lose. Probably the first time at trading, you have to lose funds, depending on the entry and market conditions.
That means the beginning amount will be different for each person. Also, there will be different calculations for trading and holding as well. Unless we know someone else's financial situation, we even can't advise on how much they should invest in trading. So everyone should make their own investment or trading strategy based on their own financial situation.
