Python is one of the major programming languages that has gained importance in the current technological era. From the development of AI, ML, Blockchain, automation, data analytics, cybersecurity, and many other advanced sectors, Python language is being widely used.

I have come across this Python Mastery Checklist for 2026, which discusses the journey right from basics to advanced levels of learning:

✅ Basic Python & Syntax
✅ Variables, Data Structures, Functions, Modules
✅ Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
✅ Files & Error Handling
✅ Data Analytics with NumPy & Pandas
✅ API development with FastAPI/Flask
✅ Automation & Scripting
✅ Testing & Debugging
✅ AI & ML projects
✅ Production App Development

Why does the Bitcointalk community need to know Python?

With time, the cryptocurrency and blockchain sphere becomes more and more interconnected with programming, automatization, AI, and data science. Studying Python will allow members to:

🔹 Develop blockchain-related software
🔹 Conduct research on crypto markets
🔹 Automatize routine processes
🔹 Create bots and applications
🔹 Get familiar with AI technologies
🔹 Create solutions for Web3-based projects
Basic knowledge in programming can make it possible for members not just to use technology but to develop it further.

Here is what I would like to know from you:

Are you learning Python now?
Which Python skill do you think is the most important one for blockchain and crypto programming?
Which projects would you like to develop in Python?

We should discuss and exchange our knowledge about the role of Python skills in preparation for the future.

If we want to prepare for the future, we should be familiar with reversible computation, so people should learn reversible programming languages like Janus. Though, when it is all said and done, people might just incorporate reversibility into Python though.
