Having wealth also comes with various risks and you have to deal with them. There are plenty of bad people in this world who want to take other people's assets for themselves. It doesn't matter whether the amount is large or small, this kind of asset transfer happens all the time. You can be exposed to it even if you keep a low profile. What OP is trying to explain is something we see clearly in everyday life. Believe me, no matter how careful you are, your assets will attract attention in one way or another and one day you could become a target.
Life is like a jungle where only the strong survive. The weak will be consumed by the strong if they don't develop means to protect themselves. This might be the reason why most rich people want to have access to political power to enable them to protect their wealth.

For example, scientists once conducted an experiment... They broke some of the windows in a non-residential building. People installed new glass in these windows. However, the scientists broke these windows again. A few months later, all the glass in this building was broken. People themselves broke them when they saw that it was possible and no one was punished for it. That's exactly how people lose their basic natural rights. It's enough to demonstratively break the rules a few times, and everyone will break them.  For example, if someone takes bribes and people see that there is no punishment for this offense, then within a few months everyone will be taking and giving bribes. This will become the new norm. 🤷
This is a great analogy. If someone is not punished for bad behavior, it might become the norm because others would join. In China, corrupt politicians in some cases receive harsh punishment. This might be why that country is undergoing economic growth: political office holders are scared of stealing.

Power changes that calculation. When people sense that wealth is protected by influence, alliances, institutional support or the capacity to retaliate, their envy usually remains inside their minds. They may still resent you, but they become far more careful acting on that resentment. Power transforms hostile intentions into private thoughts.

You are right, and also wealth comes with so many battles you will not no because there would be people who would be despising you for your money and also those who would be planning to accomplish there plan physical so actually a wealthy person is very incomplete without power because after becoming wealthy your safety becomes uncertain from people whom you may not no there intentions towards you and if also they came to attack there would be nobody to protect you but however when there is power you cannot fear anything or even a threat from people because your surrounding are well protected and there is no way any wicked plans will get to you so actually is for the safety and protection aspect I'm seeing the need for power because a vulnerable wealthy person will hardly resist attack.

This is exactly why you always see billionaires ending up buying media companies and lobbying politicians. If you don't build around politics with your capital, the State will eventually just legislate it away from you. This is just the reality very few people truly understand, and it's where voluntary transaction stops being as beneficial as engaging in coercion, and why the State (the conquerors) exists in the first place.
It is easier to build wealth than sustaining it and that is why many people who seize wealth or it is handed down to them without knowing how to sustain it eventually fails along the way because it takes more than sitting on top of money to continue being wealthy. If you're not aligned with the powers that be they can become envious and plot some policies against your wealth just to see it go down and that is why a lot of billionaires are friends with politicians that makes laws in a country to protect their businesses. Doing business at the top and having massive wealth requires being hardworking and informed especially on the things that can go against your wealth especially competitors and the government of the day.

Wealth gives you power, wealth also gives you access and with this access you can get into places that you wouldn't have been able to access if you do not have wealth. Wealth and power needs each other and with great wealth you can always use it to attain the power that you desire. Wealthy people need protection and they can only get those protection by being in connection with those in power and those in power needs money which they can get from their wealthy allies for them to achieve their goals. Both of them understand their importance and that is why you can't find one without the other, a wealthy person will always have power and a powerful person will always have access to wealth.
Yeah, wealth does give you power, but go wrong against even more powerful and watch what happens.

This is why USA is liked by many immigrants and go there, because while it's all corrupt, there is no single power that is more powerful than you, even though some do claim there is, it is not really existing like other nations Like in Russia, go against someone that is close to Putin and see what happens, it doesn't matter how rich you are, well you do not even get rich without Putin's approval, same for Saudis, you literally have a whole nation that is basically owned by the king, and so forth. Powerful will take wealth if they can.

The alliance between Donald Trump and Elon Musk didn't last because of a clash of interests. The world's richest man wanted to gain far more than he contributed. Trump's close associates needed to curtail his excess, and he ended up losing his place. However, he got some benefits that made his support worthwhile.

Some of the richest people in the world support more than one political party. They are aware that political decisions could either mar or make their business. So they want to ensure that a change of government would not end the protection and privileges they enjoy. Don't be surprised when a billionaire decides to resign from his companies to contest for a political post. He might not necessarily need the financial benefits from the post, but his businesses or wealth need to be protected.

He did help Donald Trump back into and felt backstabed when he was overlooked with Donald Trump swinging towards Mark Zuckerberg.
It took on for a while and Elon Musk was the same man who went on to say that Donald Trump is amongst the names found in the Epstein files.
I don't know what happened but after that statement on this socials ( Twitter ), they seem to get along nicely and also tagged along when making move for the China summit. I have no single issue with this but what are they doing for Wealth distribution and transfer?!

Hmm. I think the best outcome IMO is the part where you are going to try to depend on reliable institutions and not just rely on personal influence. It's like you are taking advantage if you are using your personal influence. With a good institution, maybe let's say a government office of some sorts, it should be enough to solve problems of their citizens and then that would result to your wealth to survive.

You should be careful on what power as well because there are just temporary things like alliances that could degrade overtime. It's another thing to worry about.

Politicians need the support of rich people to survive as well, so it is kind of mutual understanding with both parties to survive. That is why government always creates the economic policies in the support of rich individual over millions of average voters, they don't really have any say in it, the democracy is just a big joke that is always manipulated by the influence of many factors.

That is why many entrepreneurs enter political parties, or not a few of them enter the competition for election to government positions to get seats in government because by having a government position their business will be much safer than just being a pure entrepreneur.

Even such a big businessman always when there is an election will be a supporter of one of the legislative or executive candidates competing in the race for the vote in the background of the deal behind the table when elected, both in the manufacture of business licenses, tax deductions and other similar things that are asked by entrepreneurs to safeguard their business.

-snip-

That is why wealth creates opportunities but power preserves it.
The greatest fortunes rarely survived through money alone. (Even Elon Musk once aligned with Donald Trump) The greatest fortunes survive because they were surrounded by network, institutions, reputation, political influence, strategic alliances, or capabilities that made attacking them expensive.
It no longer surprises me why wealthy people, with all their wealth, eventually get involved in practical politics and own one or even several media outlets. It’s all to safeguard their wealth so it isn’t exposed or disrupted by circumstances.
Being rich does not guarantee comfort. That is my interpretation of the example of the monkey who is a billionaire with trillions of bananas. True wealth lies in the heart and mind, even though wealth is a necessity for me, as I firmly hold onto my beliefs and teachings.

To be fair if you have wealth with no power, then that wealth will be taken from you, I have seen many examples of this. Like there was this corporation that had 20% of all cows and bulls in our country, they were huge and they had ranch in 9 different places, huge places and they were basically providing our meat and they were the biggest.

But, when they lost the "power" they had over politicians and started to argue, it became very obvious that they became very bad with them and almost all of it got taken. They basically had to give up and give a bribe type of thing by giving share of the companies to some powerful people to stay safe. This is why if you have wealth, make sure that you also have equal amount of power.

If I were rich, I would also prefer to keep it a secret as much as possible. I think living away from the public eye is much more peaceful. The moment people notice your financial situation, their perception of you can change. Some become jealous, others constantly expect something from you. They start seeing you as a target. Unnecessary attention often does more harm than good.

For me, wealth isn't about showing off, it's about being able to live comfortably and freely. It should mean being able to buy what I want, support my family, and live without worrying about my future. What's the point of showing off

You’re right, is better to keep this secret to avoid jealousy and evil eyes a wealth is very good but is better you didn’t show it off to people and make everyone knows that you have a lot of money and you can leave a peaceful life. In anything we’re doing without money he will be very difficult to achieve. So by getting wealth that give you power and energy and Survive and do what you really need. Some are into wealth but still struggling to survive well because people that can help him out are the people that are putting him feeling bad so we need to be careful by who knows your secrets.

If we have wealth we can avail resources and that makes us to be powerful, so we can now prevent those risk or the bad guys that are trying to rob us. But you are right that even the non-rich can also be affected by this problem. It is only sad that they can not have such power as the other due to their financial status which makes them to be highly vulnerable to the threats or risks.

But after all, it also or still boils down to one's knowledge and not really on the wealth too. There are rich that still got caught out already but there are poor that are still standing wrong. The only difference is the other or the poor one's had study well and now aware about the criminal tactics, so they now know how to protect their selves even on a low or none cost way.

Actually politicians and rich people mean businessmen have a reciprocal relationship with each other.

And in both cases, these two posts help each other, such as politicians making laws in such a way that rich people or businessmen can increase their money by evading taxes and using various loopholes in the law. On the other hand, politicians get huge financial support from those businessmen when elections come. And the best example of this is the world's first trillionaire and richest person, Elon Musk, who is very famous for his controversial activities and tax evasion.

Preserving wealth has never been easy because extortionists will always come for you, and they can even be government employees haha. They will demand the same thing and offer the same thing, nothing different. If you deny their offer or won't cooperate, then you can't preserve your wealth.

In the same way, when you become wealthy, the first thing you do is change your lifestyle. Now imagine you live in a neighborhood where someone is so envious of your success that they would do anything to cause you harm. Then you can't live there happily, so you have to move to a better place. There are always many wealthy communities in almost every country, so you can live with people of your own standard.

But then other problems start, like comparison, showing off, and backbiting, etc. Here, however, these happen on a much bigger level, with no limits.

More than power, wealth requires intelligence to be maintained. Imagine a father as the rich monkey and his children/heirs as those who killed him and divided the bananas; if they eat them all and plant none, in the end nothing will remain. This happens a lot in real life: children who inherit large fortunes and in less than a year squander them because they don't know how to manage them. One becomes rich by knowing how to multiply; whoever takes from others knows nothing beyond that and will soon lose what they took because they are not intelligent enough to multiply.

This idea of classifying power as the propelling force of wealth is one unforgettable mistake keeping the world in a chaotic state as it is now. Its of no doubt wealth and power works almost in same direction but a wealthy man that never putted power first can still become wealthier even in the absence of power but because oppression and wickedness is considered a necessity in the life of most wealthy people they will never exclude acquisition of power in there plans as they know with power such wickedness can be practically shown to the poor.

Wealth is indeed power. When someone gets wealthy, he doesn't stop there. The wise thing to do first is to dominate that business by making his own company better than the competitors'. That is the first way to hold the power.

After taking over the industry, the next step is to take over business from their competitors and get in contact with other strong partners. Create connections with both the judicial and executive arm of the government. Have people in difficult places who have the power to defend him, and have the best lawyers.

I don't think you need to be friends with influential politicians to be rich. But if that were the main condition, many successful international companies that are run honestly would not have survived for years, I think that a strong business model, good management and operating within the law are more important in the long run.  Of course government or policy influences play a role, but it would not be right to explain the success or failure of every business solely in terms of political connections. Sometimes, the inability to adapt to market changes is also a big factor.

A wise man once told; "In nature, if a monkey hoarded one trillion bananas, the other monkeys would beat that monkey to death and take its bananas."
I like the parables that wise men tell. Smiley Any ravings can be presented as wisdom that way.

I'm certainly not a wise monkey, but I notice another phenomenon in nature. No matter how many bananas a monkey earns, sooner or later, the bananas eventually flow into the hands of other monkeys (and an even distribution of bananas is impossible), because the jungle is designed in such a way that the monkey will spend his bananas on all sorts of bright, shiny trinkets.

It sounds persuasive, until you confuse wealth with inventory.
A crate of bananas is a reserve. A banana palm plantation, cultivated by your monkey-workers and protected by your monkey-guards, is already wealth.

Imagine the monkeys do exactly that. That kill the richest monkey, convinced they are about to divide unimaginable riches among themselves.
Because those monkeys weren't wise. Smiley

The trillion bananas were ownership in a company that grew banana farms, built irrigation systems, designed banana launching rockets. And supplied distant troops that could not grow bananas themselves.
The wise monkeys would have taken control of this if they were wise. Smiley

The wealth existed because one monkey was organizing capital, coordinating labour, taking risks, and solving problems that no one else could.
Surely no other monkey could not have handled this? Smiley No monkey is irreplaceable.

Isn't this the same monkey who received government subsidies and support? Wink The honest way?

Wealth is often not s pile of assets waiting to be divided. It is the continuous output of knowledge, leadership, organization and judgement. Destroy the source and the stream dries up.
Changing the lead monkey won't stop the bananas from growing. Bananas grown by other monkeys will continue to grow as they always have.

The wealthy are perpetual targets of resentment, often from those who already possess considerable wealth. Success attracts competitors, great success attracts coalitions.
Envy would be reduced if banana monkeys weren't so vain as to boast about their banana plantations. Also, some banana monkeys, in an attempt to reduce social tension, are beginning to create the appearance of charitable activities.

This banana business seems to have dragged on unnecessarily.

Unfortunately, as dirty as politics is, it's the only way to get yourself covered. I can only think of what is happening in my country regarding to this. We've seen billionaires aligning with politicians, conducting NEC meetings together with them and it's not because they love politics but simply because of institutional cover. No matter how rich you are, without institutional cover, the state is likely to legislate your assets away.
