I tried to withdraw a welcome bonus at some point on a casino before I could be tempted to use it to wager but I realized it is mandatory to wager. I didn't have choice than to wager and the outcome was exactly what I feared. Welcome bonus to me is just to attract gamblers on the site and that is why you are not allowed to withdraw it. The condition is usually to wager and it doesn't favour me to win using bonus.

Yeah, on most casino bonuses, wagering is always mandatory. They can't just give away free money like that, because they are still a business after all. But if you mean by 'wager' is play, or you will be tempted of continuing playing/wagering, then yeah that an early withdraw can prevent it from happening. There may still be a chance though for us to re-deposit if we don't take further steps on combating distractions regarding gambling.

You don't need to be afraid of the outcome of wagering because at the first place, it wasn't your own money or part of it, you are using. When it comes to casino bonus, we should lower our expectations, most especially if the wagering requirements are tough.

The bonus had a 20x wagering requirement, but I wagered below 15x in a slot game. Without me knowing, I requested withrawal and it worked. I think I was a bit lucky because this is my first time. Yeah, I wouldn't call that a real welcome bonus in the traditional sense. It's more of a casino doing some advertising with a custom bonus to attract new players to the platform. I have been the recipient of something similar in the past. Even though it seems like a welcome bonus because you receive it as a new player, it really isn't.

You can always cancel an active bonus and withdraw your money if there is anything left of it. But when a welcome bonus is active, you usually play with your own deposit first.

I have never turned a welcome bonus into real money, but this is basically because I don't claim or sign up on a casino through links that will credit a welcome bonus to my account, when ever I want to sign up on a new casino, I usually do that through the normal Weblink of the casino and not one that has a welcome bonus attached to it..

And my reason isn't far from the reason you gave, which is the wager requirement that often comes with this type of bonus, to me, it's always high and I see this as a simple and cheap way the casino try to get the new user hooked to the casino, something I don't like and will never fall into.
Aside the welcome bonus, I've enjoyed some wager-requirements free bonus from some casinos and I think this is how bonuses should always be, but unfortunately, most casinos find it hard to offer bonuses without attaching strings to it, but I do understand it's simply part of their marketing tactics..

A welcome bonus, provided without a deposit is always capped to a certain limit (likewise a maximum of 100 USD).
I have received many of thems in many years and using different types of casinos/services.

Bonus are just for the gambling sites to attract more customers to use their site to gamble, but what you explained is very new to me. Is the gambling site a reputable one? What is the name of the gambling site? Maybe you did not meet the gambling site requirements but with what you explained, turning$2 to $80 would have made all requirements achieved? I was able to withdraw all the bonuses and the money that I won after all requirements are checked on the gambling sites that I have used before, but I am using reputable ones like Rainbet.

It is hard to get but not a scam unless the casino itself a scam, you need to understand one thing there is no free money out there and if someone is offering you then it comes with a catch that is the wagering requirement. If you successfully complete it then you will get double or whatever the promised ofer but if you lose and deposit more then it is a win for the casino, they successful made the user to bet more than what they planned to.

No I have not, athough I tried but I was unlucky, perhaps that is more reason why I do not pay much attention to bonuses, there are few persons that will say they have turned welcome bonus into real money except those that play just 1 or 2 games in their slip and even as that sometimes it end up cutting.

Yes, and as a gambler you would be making yourself having those thoughts that these bonuses are really good to look at and this is why it will really be that normal that we will be thinking that this will be giving out that kind of advantage since you do have that much more bigger balance and for those noobs or newbies that believing that it was their actual money and even thinking that they can be able to withdraw it immediately or would be able to get out with the wagering requirement not until they would be able ot see those thresholds and ending up on having those disappointment just because they cant be able to do so just because those terms arent that easily reachable or able to attain. Honestly, I personally don't really care about the welcome bonus balance because, as many people have said, it's quite impossible to meet the requirements. The requirements are insane. But that doesn't mean I let the bonus balance sit idle. I mean, I play with it. But honestly, I still remember meeting the casino's requirements. I was given a $1 bonus and had to grow it to $70. I also agree with you that if the platform is not fraudulent then I don't think the bonus alone would be a scam.
And at the same time, we should not forget that the casino giving bonuses does not mean that they are giving them at their own loss. Rather, they are doing their marketing here and at the same time creating a balance by giving the requirements through which they protect themselves against losses.

And here too, our luck is the main factor. If we are not lucky, then we will not get anything from the welcome bonus. However, if we are lucky, then we can wager and even get the jackpot by depositing a few dollars.
