Is gambling really for everyone?

There are many people who cannot meet their basic needs properly from their income. Such people try to improve their lives. If they get money, they will be able to meet their needs better. When poor or lower middle class people gamble, most of them are not in a position to lose money and they mainly gamble to make a profit. It is better for such people not to gamble. Because they can lose all the money they are gambling in the hope of winning. So the most important thing is to gamble only if you have the mentality and ability to lose, otherwise if you get hurt, it can have a negative impact on your normal life in the long run.

If you see a lower middle class person gambling their aim is to make profits, which is very wrong to take such step. Gambling shouldn't be seen as a source of income especially if you belong to a middle class family. People from high level of life will be able to bear some certain loss, because they will only gamble with what they can afford to lose. Let's be realistic gambling is actually not suitable for everyone. If someone doesn't have the mentality of bearing lose, it is advisable for them not to gamble. Financial difficulties is one of the major things that could easily affect a gambler, especially if the person is willing to become rich through the means of gambling.

I don't believe gambling is for everyone, for those who are gamblers, there are casino games to meet all their needs.

I have seen people who have first started their gambling journey by sitting in front of a slot machine, and they get completely hooked up within a minute, on the other hand, there are others who get completely bored by the same casino game and decide to take whatever money they have left and use it on other forms of entertainment.

I think the problem isn't the games themselves, but the attitude toward them. If someone goes to a casino looking for easy money, any loss will just bring out anger and frustration. Yes, this is another important issue to keep in mind, and not only religions, but other ideologies and beliefs (many parents educate their children demonising gambling).

As per what you mention, there are Muslims, and Muslims... in my country it is quite typical to see them in casinos, many of them just hanging around or visiting other friends, customers or whatever, but there are also those who gamble, drink and/or smoke hash (I didn't know, but it seems that Islam also prohibits the latter). So even with religions, it depends on the country in which they reside and how practicing they are.

Gambling is a personal thing, so every individual must evaluate their personality to see if they are fit to gamble because gambling involves shocks and experiences that are not too pleasing to the  some persons. Almost all people has a money. Money is needed anyways to live. If you mean only rich can play gambling, you can think again. In fact, a lot of poor likes to play gambling. This is because they are poor anyways. Another thing is that it is so accessible right now. As long as one has a phone, then they can now play gambling online. Indeed gambling is definitely not for everyone, non gamblers only only gamble when they see you win big but what they don't know gambling doesn't always give you what you expect but you get the opposite at most times. The one thing I don't do anymore is talking money from non gamblers to stake for them because they believe that winning is sure and gets disappointed when they lose their money and they forget that gambling is either you win or you lose, gambling is not for the weak at heart and not for greedy people, a true gambler knows that the chances of winning or losing is 50/50 and they are prepared for anything.

I personally think that gambling is not for those people who are basically very greedy and cannot maintain their emotional control and get triggered at the slightest opportunity. Because I think that if such a person ever comes to gamble, they can easily face large amount of loss in gambling or can become addicted to gambling. So I think that such people should always refrain from gambling.


And I will talk about another percentage who basically gamble responsibly and always try to gamble within their ability to lose, but they become very stressed due to small losses. In their case, gambling does not act as entertainment but rather as extra pressure, so in their case too, I think it is better to avoid gambling.

I think the question should be, are some people meant to gamble?, and not 'if gambling is meant for everyone?'.
Who the hell goes about asking for a refund?. The truth is, majority of those who gamble do it for the money and not entertainment. There's nothing wrong with wanting to stake money for a possible reward or win, but some people's approach to certain things are just too immature, making it look like they're being desperate. Gambling does not offer a 100% win guarantee... Even a 50% win is not certain because luck plays a big role. Those who can't control themselves should learn how to stay away from things that they clearly can't influence.

Exactly, and that's the biggest problem. Most of us are gambling with the clear intent to win money rather than entertainment and sometimes we end up depositing money that wasn't even meant to be gambled with and was kept for something much more important in life. Once you gamble that money, things like his happens where you ask for a refund after losing it. It's just desperation tbh, and I totally understand it.

Do you have any idea why there are muslims in your country who actually partake in gambling, even when they prophet declared that those within their region cannot either gamble or consume alcohol?.
Perhaps, they were not only allowed to do those things in their motherland, and they eventually got curious when they reached Spain and ended up getting drunk for the first time and also gambling money away from the first time.

Here it is not so common finding Muslims in casinos, it is actually more common to encounter Chinese people in casinos and even building their other gambling businesses themselves.

You are right, gambling isn't for everyone, because people react differently to it. Some people might not panic when they lose their bet while another person will want to try to win their lose back. Gambling isn't for anyone that hate seeing losses because what they believe is that they want to be seeing wins every time , which is not possible. One factor that make people react in a bad way especially if they experience loss, is if they used money that is meant for something important in lives to gamble. Are you just telling a story or a fact? It doesn't seem like a fact to me, but rather a story. A gambler is someone who gambles for a long time. There are two categories of gamblers, one is the disciplined gambler and the other is the addicted gambler. It would be wrong to call someone who is not involved in gambling regularly or considers gambling only as entertainment a gambler. If you have a long record of gambling, then you should consider whether you are a disciplined gambler or an addicted gambler.

Gambling is definitely not for everyone. Even the experience gamblers too have their own issues when gambling. Just because they have experience doesn't mean they know what and not what to do at a certain time. One can be experienced and still chase after losses. Restricting underage persons gamble is the correct action since they are not psychologically fitted. It does not take long before gambling will destroy their future. It means that gambling is for everyone, but then some people are built for destruction in gambling, and once they go into it, they are likely to have some negative results that go beyond just losing.

So, for me, I am still of the opinion that gambling is not for everyone.
