Surprisingly many gamblers bet on Argentina because they were confident in the team. They played well in almost every match of the World Cup but their performance in the final against Spain was the opposite. I find it hard to believe that they only had 3 shots on target throughout the entire period and none of them were on target. Spain was aggressive from the start of the match and played brilliantly until the last minute of the match. I can't be too sure about betting on such an exciting match so I refrained from betting.

It's all about the right speculation I guess because they are the former champion. Well, we can see they're exhausted and that will surely end the theories now that the FIFA are favoring Argentina and I think that's a good thing because criticism will just go if they goes back to back, there are even a growing wild theories even this World Cup hasn't been finished yet. Congratulations to Spain, wasn't able to bet as well considering the time of the match, I'm not confident on my bets if I'm not watching it live.

I only believed in Spain after I followed both of their semifinal matches, but even though I still backed Spain, I wasn't expecting Argentina to hold until extra time, and that ruined my bets.

Maybe things could've gone differently if that red card hadn't come through, still it feels like the loss was inevitable because of their previous match results that shouldn't have been close to begin with.

I was more surprised to see other bettors liking Argentina, or maybe it's because of what happened in the third-place match, where France got rolled by England.

Yes, I was really disappointed with Argentina in the final. I was a big supporter of Argentina and I couldn't believe that Spain could beat Argentina, and I was betting on Argentina winning by at least one or two goals.

But after watching the match yesterday, I was completely disappointed with Argentina and I congratulate Spain because they really deserved to win. They played a very great match and completely dominated the game, unlike Argentina, who did nothing except for some late moves by Messi in the last 10 minutes of the match.

I think this is the case for most fans who are not from Argentina. This is also why most of my colleagues in the office are rooting for Argentina. However, Spain's momentum continued until the end. I know the board will be flooded with Argentina and Spain matter throughout this week, but nevertheless it was a victory to Spain and I respect them for that, I never even wanted Argentina to win it back to back otherwise it will look like something is fishy around FIFA world cup as many people believed. If Spain didn't win many people will lose interest and feel that this world cup is a planned game. But however I congratulate Spain for beating Argentina because if Argentina was the winner, Messi fans will not allow people to rest. This football is just a game of luck but people take it too seriously and believe that some people are God when it comes to football. I could remember when Portugal lost their last match, people blame Ronaldo of not being able to take his country to the final and placed the crown on Messi as the goat and believing he will never disappoint, but how far? So this is just a game of luck and not by power.

Obviously a big mess up, starting from drake who lost $2.5m and I believed many was %1000 percent sure of Argentina to lift the world cup but unfortunately man is not God.

We're betting, if you're not too sure about your bet choice, how do you bet? There are always winners and losers, but I do predict the match won't be easy for Argentina. Because Spain has a strong defense, it's hard to break through. And in the final match, we saw how Argentina struggled with that.

What I was surprised yesterday is the fact that the chances of Spain were 20 and Argentina 0 and the most correct result was a win for Spain to win this World Cup of 2026. I am sorry for Messi as he made the same as Maradona in 1986 where he won and Messi won in 2022 and then in 1990 Maradona lost against Germany while Messi in 2026 lost against Spain. It looks like history repeated itself while it is the second time Argentina cannot win two World Cup consecutively.

Bro to be honest, I haven't been following up with their (Spain) previous  matches since the beginning of the league not till yesterday finals. Men Spain was actually something else entirely on the field, from their defense to the attack was so massive, they were  actually  everywhere on the field, their confidence and energy was amazing and they did a great job entirely, therefore they pretty deserve every single success they got in the finals. I don't find any problem putting trust to your favorite team, to the team you're rooting for. If they lose, then they lose. That's always a possibility, and that's not hard to accept. I don't understand why this would become an issue on trust. Almost always, whenever I bet on a game, I trust that my team wins. Secondly, nothing's surprising, nothing's unbelievable. Spain reached the finals, so they must be as competitive and ready. As a matter of fact, they even came as the finals favorite. The defending champ was the underdog.

I had doubts that Spain would win last night's game to beat Argentina because to be honest when I celebrated with a team that could potentially beat Argentina I was very disappointed, but since the first half went really made me see the opportunities that could be had by Spain, although there are still doubts because usually Argentina do their best matches in the second half, fortunately not like, the ball control from Spain is really quite crazy bai in defense and midfield, because honestly choosing to close argentina's wiggle room was a great choice.

Honestly, after the group stage and the first few rounds of the knockout stage, my main favorite to win the World Cup was France.
Spain started slower and they were obviously timing their form for the finals of the competition.
Argentina was not convincing at this championship and they saved themselves many times in the last minutes of the game or in extra time.
However, when Spain beat France in the semi-finals with a dominant game, I believed that they would win in the final, regardless of who they played against, Argentina or England.
Simply put, Spain was the best team in this tournament.

With all posts that I have been reading on this thread, most people bet on Argentina or maybe those that bet on Spain did not want to post about it. It is actually good to use just little amount of money on gambling, an amount of money as little as we can be able to afford to lose it. I was not also expecting Spain to win the world cup, but they let us know yesterday that they are the best.

That is betting for you. If you are betting, you have to believe or trust and that is the reason you are betting on that direction. What we should inculcate in our mind is that it is not a do or die affair. When you are betting, you don't need to put all your mind and money into it. You must bet as you can.bear incase of losing just list yesterday's match that you are talking about.

Talking about the match itself, Spain took over the midfield as usual and passing the ball perfectly around themselves, that was it for Argentina. Messi didn't get the balls at the midfield and that caused the pressure on the Argentine half. I give it to the Spanish who played more compact football and after the red card, it exposed the Argentine more when Enzo Fernandez was sent off, then they took the opportunity to end the game before it gets more luckier at the penalties.

I am honestly not surprised that Spain won the world Cup yesterday, if you check or go through my post history and find all my comments on the world Cup, you would see that my desire initially was to see France win the world, but as France got knocked out by spain in the semi finals, my support shifted to Spain to win the world Cup, I never supported that Argentina win the world Cup again this season after they've won it in the 2022 World Cup.

But yesterday while I was trying to place a bet on the match, a post on X convinced me to bet on Argentina to win instead, the decision I made to agree with that post is one I greatly regret right now because if I had placed my bet on Spain as I initially believed, I would have won..
But thank goodness I checked my sportsbook account this morning and saw that the money I spent on the bet was refuned, I checked the bet and saw that it was voided, I don't know why the bet got voided but this outcome is something I am happy with because if the ticket was normally settled, I would have lost the money.
